anyone got a wolf ems that Tuning Developments sell??
_shaun_ replied to jayc-glanza17's topic in Electronics
i looked at them they look good for people that just want to drive in and drive out no fuss but theres alot of cheaper better options out there. i choose the dta s60 pro and ill be doing a custom loom the amout of wires ive already cut out of the oem loom that isnt needed is mental time am done ill have the full set up running coil on plug / launch control an few other goodies for far less than the 1.2k for the wolf system. -
nah its my old emu still used stock injectors but it was maped for my car so extremely risky to use on another set up. bad news this mate but forged builds are for winners anyway
-
nah i went from a ct9 on the blitz ran it with the td04 for awhile then i got offerd a emu for a steal so got that mapped on the td04. the blitz ran mega rich on both set ups.i loved my blitz when i had it but after going for the emu i was more than happy with the difference. the thing that bugs me about plug and plays is everyone seems to have all this info on them and how they work but as u quite rightly said at the start none of us have actauly spoke to blitz/jam or any others. my taking on them is the daughter board acts much in the same way the emb were by it takes the standard signals a
-
and did JAM tell you that out there own mouth? and who was it at blitz that told you the ecu tends to over fuel at top end to keep things safe and cool as it was built for a ct9 blitz k200v and a ct9 gets very hot so extra fuel is shot into the cylinder head to keep things cool? i wasnt aware you worked for them anywayyyyy.... i agree the plug and play works to a degree but after running a blitz access for a few months then swaping to a emu i no there is a very nice difference to be seen between the two. sure people will use a plug and play and theres nothing realy wrong with it but now u
-
wasnt realy a plug and play at the time was it tho jam mapped the daughter board to suit the mods on the car just like you would with a emb.
-
why do u have a bee*r and a emu? the emu has l/c and is ment to be far safer to use
-
plug and play on a standalone doesnt realy seem like that good an argument as to why one system is better than the other. people running standalone's have more than likely put in hundreds of hours of research into there build along with thousands of pounds so for the sake of a 2 hours to wire in a standalone or what £80 to your mapper? id rather get a newer system with far more features. yea they will hold there price among the few that like to pay out for the ohh my god!! JDM! factor but with more well priced standalone's coming out the pfc will drop in price aswell. true there tryed and te

iat? is that intake air temp? or am i being stupid ill have browse see if i can find out about the cam sensor. i was tempted to pick up a nos kit but for right now i think i should just focus on actualy getting more important parts
-
sounds like another big bhp starlet coming up word of advise tho when i looked down standalone routes the wolf was on of the most expensive with the least feedback so might save urself a nice chunk of change by looking around more

decided an s60 would be my best option so purchased one. will be on a forged 5e running coil on plug but i have no idea what sensors are actualy needed or advised to be used to get this up and running and if i can use any of the oem sensors?. and if not can i just buy generic sensors or do they have to be dta ones to work? with regards to running coil on plug i think civic type r coils will be best bet and as i understand ill need to get a trigger wheel and crank sensor fitted again can i just use any generic trigger wheel and crank sensor if this is the case is there any advantages to how man
