i have the cash to buy the car but its just al the other hidden fees that concern had a few links sent to me which make for intresting reading. if i go for this it will knock my build back a fair few months which prob wont make it till close to end of next year. i was sure when i looked into it more i would find a reason why i couldnt buy it but the more i look into it the more it seems appealing lol. its fine ill tell the misses and just have to go ukso sofa surfing till she calms down

ever since i found out they made one ive been after one but ive never seen one for sale when ive had the cash lol. prob is mines already striped ready to get painted so cant decide if i should basicaly start all over again then try push 350+bhp down the drivetrain lol

ahh thats rather handy. so from what i gather i just pay to get it shiped to the uk then nip down and get it from the docks? will need to look into how to pay customs. it all seems to simple which concerns me cause noone ever seems imports there cars lol . the hardest part of it so far is telling the misses what i bought lol

spotted a car am after on tradecarview and realy having a hard time trying not to buy it. ive spoke to the company who have offered me a cif price for the car which from what i can gather is the price of the car + shiping+insurance. now my main question is what is the full process to get it in the country. i pay them i take it they put the car on a boat and thats there side done from there i need to pay import tax(27.5%?) how do i go about this or do they find me? then when the boat arrives at the uk do i then need to pay the dock to take the car off and store it till i get it? again do they c

ahhh so just a cheapy ebay unit do the job u think of anything to stay clear off when am getting one?
-
ahhh naah its gonna be mainly a show/track car so if its not going on the track ill be driving it down. i was offerd a recovery truck which was tempting but mot/insurance on it and its lost its appeal lol
-
aye i have a talent for making this build take longer than i planed thats the plan if i can find a good cheap welder i can just practise will only be for little bits and bobs on the car but think it would be realy handy.
-
would realy like to take up welding for the odd brackets and such for my car but dont want to sink a pile of money into a welder to barely use. anyone picked up good mig welders for a nice price? or any tips of welders to avoid? cheers shaun

think ill just sit the test to be safe anyone done it? il drive it as much as possible but since most of the big track days are a 6hour+ drive id like to no that when am kicking it round the track or up the strip i dont have to worrie about the journey home if anything goes wrong. also with a trailer allows me to carrie a few spares/tools and a change of wheels for slicks which i couldnt do with out.
