This is a brief guide on importing based of my own experiences its not complete but ill add to it and try tidy it up as i go along ive tryed to bang up a few pictures to break up the text wall but alot of things id have liked to show have personal details so ill try do some photoshoping when i have more time .Apologies for any spelling or grammar mistakes am pretty crap at them i used www.tradecarview.com of course other sites can be used. but the ones I was looking at had either jacked up the prices or wanted you to pay a deposit just to look at cars for sale. Step one of course is to regi

TDO4 kit.. which one this time? purchasing soon..
_shaun_ replied to iamlegend's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
i got my pistons and rods from cps and they just put it down as a gift so i didnt have to pay tax and after speaking to sacha he said he would do the same for a turbo kit so u wont pay tax on either. if u ask nicely -
micky worth speaking to jason_l he done my billet gear knob and it was flawless sure he could bang out some center caps

good point realy keirz. what if u done price check in the exact same format as a for sales thread? just with a query on price by all accounts thats the same format. if anything i would imagine it would cut down on spam cause normal when someone overprices something everyone has something to say about it? IMO price check threads would be a better thing to have would save people with less knowledge of stuff getting ripped off.

most mine are in storage tubs which i use to hold up a table

ahh thats abit of a pain i have someone wanting to buy mine buy no clue what the price should be ha

Blitz Access ECU and RRFPR - need both?
_shaun_ replied to kashkash7867's topic in Ignition & Fueling
as above dont need one tbh a better combo would be a blitz access and a wideband gauge -
can also get dry ice charge coolers aswell which would be the best realy suited to sleepers imo
-
if it was closer i woulda went up and just poped the glove box is its got the ecu then just bid him £750 easy money

yea thats an option i supose could whip out the angel grinded if need be i supose. only have to carrie in mabye 8foot out the garage n it can get picked up. tempted to chop the front to try make a bbq but just cant weld myself yet so think it would just sit for ages. thinking about it i cant see it being that heavy tbh. when i think of all the things ive removed that weighted an tonne when i didnt think they would. must add up to a few hundred kgs. ahh well think ill just go for it to much bloody snow outside to arse around striping it out there
-
aye thats what i cant decide lol i think it would be well under 500kgs but dont want to sit it on the deck and cant remove it ha:p
-
doesnt supose anyone knows? realy want to strip the shell right down in the garage but means i cant roll it out to get it picked up so would need to get some mates to lift it out if it wasnt to heavy? cheers shaun

not sure exact size of them but most people just get uprated pads and possible grooved disks for the front the rear doesnt do much breaking. stock breaks work fine up to like 200bhp. i was running just over 220 and due to it all being windy country roads. i decided to go for a bigger wms break set up which can be seen here. http://www.ukstarlet...showtopic=28281 . there are plenty of things u can do to the stock breaks to help tho as mentioned uprated disks and pads. fresh fluid, brake master cylinder stopper. braided brake lines. that would probaly see you fine unless the power bug realy bi -
aye standard seats are crap cant beat a good decent set of seats

out of pocket £3000 with no sign of gettting it back !!!
_shaun_ replied to glanzagee's topic in Negative Feedback
realy awkward situation adam acting as the middle man and doing the group buy has realy got him caught in bad situation. if he cant get the money back from the company hes responsible for giving you your money back however its not like were are talking about a few hundred quid not many people have that sorta money sitting around to just give out. -

does look very clean its quite highly priced but since its from a dealer i guess thats to be expected.. the fuel cut defender (FCD) is an aftermarket iteam you can buy to run higher than standard boost with out hitting fuel cut. due to the standard manifold being very restrictive running higher boost levels has a danger of melting a piston. so if u see someone claiming its running a fcd at like 1 bar boost and the stock manifold id just walk away. buying a standard one and modding it urself is the best way but of course it is the most expensive aswell however it has alot of positives aswell -

hey mate welcome along. seatings and a few interior features are different between the 96 spec and 98 spec aswell but there isnt massive differences realy. biggest issue with these cars is people bullshitting abouts mods done to them and or bhp there running. if its advertised online bang up a link and people on here can have a look at it and see if theres anything that doesnt sound right. cars running stock turbo and stock boost are just fine for that purpose on the stock turbo you can easily push 200bhp with supporting mods, td04 and other such turbo upgrades are only realy needed for th
