  1. Very official letter arrive today. For a moment I thought it was a summons lol Behold the key to Ballypatrick Forest.
  2. Correct mate, I mainly use UKSO, but I am now posting more frequently on TGTT. There is some awesome technical info there and few guys who really know their stuff. So it's always good to become familair with different members. Also TGTT seems to have a greater gathering in N.I. and that's a bonus for drumming up interest in meets. Without the help and inspiration from different members on both sites, I'd probably be driving a saxo by now LOL. So it's always good to give something back to keep such clubs going.
  3. eBay is a rip off to sell on. At the end of the day it's away of keeping the club alive without one or two having to cover the costs. I paid to support the club, my car wouldn't be the it is now without the collective input of different members. Realistically you should want to pay the £1.95, due to the amount of information and support available. OK other clubs may not charge you to sell, but this is another way of keeping the riff raff out. As far as I am aware this is the cheapest club membership in the UK. I'm on two Starlet sites and both I support with paid memberships. A
  4. Welcome to UKSO! As above, we need photos!
  5. Tesco 10w40 semi synthetic LOL I kid of course, I use castrol 10w40 cant remember the exact name, but it's the expensive variation.
  6. I wouldn't bother with the crank pulley as they are not harmonically balance. I'm running one but only found out after it was fitting. Supposed to eat through the thrust washers quickly.
  7. It's backed off a good bit today. No smoke either, which is a good sign. Seems all good. Jay sorted me out the new plugs. Fueling checked, all ok. Det cans also put on and checks out ok.
  8. Will Cypha, so much want for the 4wd 1.5 1nz-fe version. Would make an awesome sleeper.
  9. Glanza on wangan warriors - http://www.wanganwarriors.com/meeting-11-sunny-sundays/
  10. If I was building a track car, I would go for it hands down, but I only want one for aesthetic purposes and a saving of £375 is healthy too lol.
  11. Undecided yet mate, I can get my own bonnet skinned for £200 with real carbon fibre. I'm a bit against the extortionate shipping to Northern Ireland too.
  12. LOL, seen some crazy standalone management for sale on nengun, not sure if it's still there. I missed you at the costa ln Saturday mate, was down not long after you had left. Has Chris got back to you?
  13. Early gen 5e-fhe's came with the same intake as the FTE, minus a few fittings. Also came with a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold.
  14. Second tab, under the UKSO logo at the top of the screen.
  15. This was about 40 round trip Liam. PCV -> Can -> Atmosphere if that's what you mean mate?
  16. Is this why you keep trying to twist my arm into buying a standalone? LOL
  17. All hoses disconnected, throttle cable disconnected?
  18. Clear liquid an oil. Smells a bit like petrol which is confusing. No smoke any more though.
  19. I had to take a trip down to the Starlet Rehabilitation Centre aka The Costa yesterday with suspected headgasket failure. A ton of smoke and mis-firing on cylinder 4. Also a heavy oil leak where the engine number is stamped. Compression test done 15.5 to 16 bar across all four, so head gasket and ring failure ruled out. Oil leak discovered at the distributor, solved with a new O ring. Plugs also changed. Problems pointed towards the plug with smoke and mis-fire. left the costa weened off the oil. So a nice easy weekend of polishing and fitting a bumper turned into a nightmare, but
  20. It was pretty even across all four mate. Ring were only done 3 months ago.
  21. Compression test done 16bar ish across all for 4. It is a bit Smokey but, mixture of white, black and blue.
