Is he certain there's not a tracker fitted by a previous owner that he could turn on? Nearly all evos need them nowadays for insurance, if a previous owner fitted one then just packed in paying the subscription... Just a thought.

This may sound silly but when I was getting massive I swore by tesco own chocolate milkshake ;) check the amount of protein in it. I think it's £2 for 2 1 litre cartons. 4.3 grams of protein per 100ml, 43 grams in a carton. Also been tested by mens health lol

Something burning off your exhaust? When in reverse it might just be enough to let it waft in? Is it a new exhaust? Might have a protective coating burning off/into the metal.
