  5. Just wondering what the spool time is like on a 16g TD05 on a 4e block, or even better if there's a hybrid to bring the spool times down? Should be running an after market inlet, and cams by then. Anyone running one? Want to get some more ponies at the end of the year... Jamie
  6. Ive never run one on mine. Running 1.4Bar on TD04. Nobody mentioned anything with not running one when it was getting mapped, so cant be bad. On the other hand, I want one because they're pretty sexy!!

  9. I did about 10miles not giving it too much Dropped the oil 100 miles letting the rings open up (let the gears slow you down to pull the rings out, and high gear up hills. Drained the oil again 250 miles doing the same thing Drained the oil Another 250 miles giving it more Drained the oil Same again for 250 miles Dropped the oil Filled it up with Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5W-40 and thrashed it! For all the running in, I used Millers Competition Running-in oil, but you could just use cheaper mineral oil. 4,000miles on and it's going alright
  10. A lad local had bought a corsa VXR and just spent like 5k at Regal beacaue he melted a piston. So now it forged, ko4 turbo, 335bhp 325ft/lbs torque. NO LSD. Oh and he knows fuck all about cars, thrashes them from cold, doesnt service it, daddy pays for it etc. Any way... Question is, will he show me up in my 272bhp Glanza?! Will be pissed off if he does hahaa.
  11. Every time I go down you're looking at about 10/11 till they wind down!
  12. When I was running a ct9, and the oil seals had gone on it, it used to smoke on idle when it was warm.
  13. Cheers for the links both of you, I'll take a look after work.
  14. I'm running a 'stage 2' head, however, I couldn't comment on the difference it made as I put it on when I built my new engine.
  15. Yeah the speedo works fine, nothing to do with the cable. There's 100% a wire going from the clocks to the ECU. And yeah there's not a vss, only a sensor for the ABS, but that's what they call it on the diagnostics for fault 42. I found which pin it was on the ECU, but not sure where it goes to on the clocks. Think I'll just have to follow it up through the loom, or trick it by sending a valtage to it off of a button, but then it wouldn't de activate when I start moving. Hmmm...

  17. Yours is the 400hp turbo kit then I'm guessing?
  18. Or at least learn on something that doesn't matter what the outcome is like.
  19. Hi guys, well as some of you might have seen, my car is up and running at 1.4bar on the old TD04. However, we couldn't activate launch control because the ECU isn't picking up that the car is at 0 mph when stationary. Now I'm lead to believe that there is a cable, running from the back of the clocks to the ECU which gives it the signal. Ever since I got the car, this hasn't been working, as the car has never been restricted to 112mph, and I know that the cowboy way of de-restricting it is by cutting this cable. However, I've had the clocks off, as-well as looking around the ECU and I can't
  20. Yup, You got it! What time you thinking roughly? I'll park on the slip road any way, but just so I'm not thinking you've gone passed already haha
