  1. I need my cooler this way, love it!
  2. Love red V's. only thing I'd change is the black roof, red all round would be spot on. Personal preference tho!
  3. Possibly take a ride up
  4. I'm planning on doing it, really want to do a series that uses propper tracks though. The tracks that TSS use appear to be really tight, more suited to a ct9. Won't know till I've done a few though!
  5. Interested, but not at no where near 2k!
  6. First thing to do would be to strip it down, not saying it has, but it could fucked a rod too, could have fucked the crank. You need to inspect the crank to see if it's scored, if so, the crank needs to come out, get re--ground, and the acl bearing bought to match. I can't see it will have took a rod out. Although when I spun a shell, I fucked my rod, my crank to the point it had gone to far to re-grind. If that was the case, a new engine would be cheaper. IF you could find one for the right money/know is working
  7. Nice to see one in a different colour, looks tidy mate
  8. Half 8 - when ever I get the jobs that are booked in done, can be 3pm finish, busy days upto about 6pm. Half 8 - 12:30 on Saturday Mobile Service Engineer on Caravans/motorhomes Thank fuck for a company van, or the starlet would have been long gone!!
  9. cheers dude! Ill prob take you up on that offer lol Cheers man!
  10. Looks tidy man!
  11. Tidy John, wheels don't suit it, you need to sell me them.... ;)
  12. At the end of the day, they are free to remove and put to standard, when I picked my Glanza up it was hitting fuel cut at 5k rpm. Looks a tidy Glanza dude!
  13. The r32 is the best skyline to date. R33 is like a boat haha, I'd sooner own an r32 over my Glanza, but I'd rather own a starlet n/a over an r33!!
  14. I think it could work! I like things that are different!
  15. Yeah I can't believe how well It has came out from it, my spare wheel well was bent a little but straightened most of it out
  16. So after the last update, I've temporarily sprayed my cage black and fitted it for japfest at combe. Also stripped the front down and cleaned everything up, inner arch liners out and re-wax oiled everything. Looking fresh again With the gearbox whining, I said I would take a steady drive down to coombe, not long into the journey, I couldn't resist Anyway, after we got out tickets for japfest from the meet point, I thought I'd head out to the track early to get the car ready for the stand. Worst mistake me and my mate did.. We were all on stop waiting to be directed into the track, then..... BANG! Fucking rear ended by some twat of a cunting wanker in a works van, obviously on his phone or something as he didnt even attempt to brake. He went into the back of my mates EG Civic, which in tun pushed him straight into me. Feel for my mate in the civic as it is completely fucked, and his first time to japfest, luckily mine hasn't came out too bad as his civic actually went underneath my car. Only damaging my spare wheel well, exhaust and bumper! Here's some pics Just shows you have quick these things happen, couldn't believe it. There was people in high viz everywhere directing people as well! Here's some pics of mine; Nothing too bad luckily. Any way, we stayed at the show, and headed off home. I didnt bother with track A) because of the morning incident gearbox was hanging out its arse! Made it to Micheal Wood Services, found a Burger King and rang the RAC. I think it would have made it home, but I didnt want to damage the Quaife, With PPC @ Mallory only a week away and booked some track sessions, I had a week to fix my box. This is where the 'low blow' Glanza comes in quite handy. Nipped over to Birmingham to pick up an N/A Starlet box on the Wednesday night, then Thursday started working on it. Track slag out, low blow in.. Took the Turbo box off the 'low blow' N/A Box vs Glanza box And the N/A box fitted to the low blow We left it at that for Thursday evening. This left me with 1 night to get my Glanza ready for track First things first was to get the knackered box out. Me and my mate took it out, recorded it on the go-pro. 32mins it took us lol low blow out, track slag in.. Knackered box out Then I split the box to get my Quaife LSD out Found some nice pieces of metal stuck to the magnet Then we had to split the box out the low blow to fit the Quaife Quaife sat in place And back together And she was done. Took her for a spin, gave her a quick clean, and was in bed for roughly half 4am!! Next morning, after waking up late (no surprise), we set off for Mallory Park Liam kindly let us park on the Tokyo Collective stand (which I hope to be on again in the future) And here's some in-car footage, the white 205's were going really well. The first one I pass was a turbo'd Pug engine, the second one I catch up to Is Constella's EVO ENGINED 205! On full power it makes 605bhp, and runs 10's down Santa Pod. Not sure what he was running round Mallory, but it felt good knowing what car it was! Check the link here: The car ran awesome all day, the only thing that let us down was a CV joint on the n/s. The grease had got that hot it had turned to water! Race spec grease is needed. (This is why I pulled to the side early) Jamie
  17. 100deg is fine considering the car was being put through its passes for 15mins. 110+ is where i'd start to back off, even then, they say that the oil I use (Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5w/40 - now moving to 10/50) is good at 130deg without loosing it viscosity. I should imagine running lower boost levels etc you won't see anywhere near 100deg. In all fairness, last year at donnington I was only seeing max 90deg. Bigger cooler would be more beneficial if the temps were too hot, but they're not. Another advantage though of a bigger cooler, it allows you to hold more quantity of oil.
  18. I had this, the wiring on jap cars goes brittle, check for a broken wire at the temp sensor, mine was only broke enough to loose contact when I was under boost, then return to normal when it made contact again.
  19. I will do dude, Yeah that was with an oil cooler. My temps usually sit a little lower than that on track, but I think I need a thicker oil now its getting warmer weather
  20. Yeah I'm going to look into it, I might try using the slates on the sides of the varis bumpers! We shall see! What weight oil you using socks? Im onto 10/50 now, well will be when I do it this week Haha yeah, it was the one I replaced after I snapped it at Santa Pod last year, maybe the grease supplied wasn't up to it
  21. wait for it, wait for it, wait for it... shitt! boooooooooost!!!! Cant wait to see more!!!
  22. The only reason the cv grease melted is because of the heat from the brakes, the brakes weren't fazed at all for the whole session, but the energy has to go somewhere, therefore creates heat, due to the ksports not begin bothered about the heat they keep working and getting hotter, then got that hot the cv grease melted as such! Can't see it happening often, might have been due any way for all I know. Found the ad08s to be spot on! Got some r888's sat here to try though! Oil temps were at 100deg tops after hard abuse. But I'm changing thickness of oil now to a 10/50, will keep temps down and last longer on track Yeah that's the one, rob Walton, who ownes Constella French car specialist. 10sec down the strip lol!
  23. Lambda sensor wire broke at 4am the day I was going! Hence running rich. and the 205 at the end has an evo engine, running 10.3 sec at pod @ 605bhp! Dunno what power he was running then though!
