  3. Thanks Guys. Like i say this is jus gonna be a teach myself how to work on an engine project, atm its sounding like itll be polishing everything inside and improve the breathing of it. Would be nice if i could just drop some higher lifting cams in from another E engine. Theres no rush with this project, something to keep me from locking myself up and playing xbox i guess!!
  4. Morgey we should definately arrange something for early next year. Meet in the middle and see if we can get a little shindig going

  6. Really what im asking is, what sorta cams and pistons and little bits from the other e-series engines can i put together and run to see a little increase in performance?
  7. Ok So... Im picking up a lower mileage engine for my SR in a few weeks and swapping it out as my rings are shot in my current engine. (I badly want boost but really cant afford it) So after chatting to one of the lads at work on what to do with my current engine, i was just gonna strip it down to teach myself abit more about engines and how they come apart and go back together, we have decided to try and build some sort of higher compression n/a engine. Obviously not being a mechanic(were panel beaters) were not sure what is capable of the engine, first thing thats come to mind is the N/A bl
  8. Hope this takes off like the old facebook page. When it was changed from being a "user" to a page it seemed to die out yknow?
  9. Im not a massive poster on either site. But i do come on the site almost everyday for a browse. Ill stick with the crowd. Also the new logo is 'mezzin
  10. I got Teins on my SR and a mate has got some RSR ones on hers, Tein claiming a 57-50mm drop and the RSR ones claiming 40 and hers is damn lower than mine, gutted TBH.
  11. Yeah i see it parked opposite hyperama, always rubbernecking at it as we use that fuel station on padholme road. Im trying my hardest to save for a glanza but having bought a house i might have have to focus on just getting another N/A lump for it as my rings are going :/ Well have to meet up loada lads round my way got integras and civics get together for a little shoot!
  12. I never know of any meets in pboro, i went to a slammedia meet at the arches a couple of weeks back. your sr always looked mint, but i did get a slight tip on when i spotted your glanza yesterday!
  13. You always used to park down the side of cooks? Im up at Marshall Bodyshop. If i had known you were selling up i woulda had that exhaust off ya! Im always flying round fengate area and would always be drooling over your sr before i had mine
  14. Hello mate! Spotted u this morning. Did you use to have the white one with white wheels? I've got a silver sr with grey and green wheels.

  16. ^^ Thats nuts, reminds me of a small pop up green house one of my mates had for nothing in particular Ill get a pic up when i move in on the 24th mate
  17. Reminds me of my mate who had an eg that had the typical rotten arches, hes now terrified his teg is gonna fall apart. id like to think if your garage aint damp youd be alright
  18. If the car already is corroding it wont stop if kept dry or out of the weather, a damp garage will definately increase the rate of corrosion. I have a couple of rust spots on my starlet, a little bit under the paint on one of the rear quarters, just a little bubble. And I've got i patch the size of 4 fingers where its had a door skin fitted years ago and someone touched the bare metal with naked skin.
  19. Fastest passenger ride was 158 in a standard 330 coupe Fastest car driven has to be a Jag XJR supersport 5.0 v8 supercharged, i had to give myself a minute afterwards to rearrange my internal organs, then last friday i had 5 minutes till clocking off time to do a ten minute journey in a supercharged XKR, that was adrenaline filling stuff even with the traction control on.
  20. Woulda been nice to win that euro millions, sumin like 148mill werent it? I heard the first thing they did was order a pizza. They deserve a Hi-5 from me if so!
  21. Looked at this just half hour ago on retrorides - first reaction to the thread title was huh? then i scooped my jaw up!
  22. As im sure you know, theres a big difference between what people say and what actually happens, especially on the internet. I can see the logic behind it though. I've just bought a house with a garage and enough space for 4 cars in front so im sure you can imagine im over the moon! (No its not a mansion, just lucky to get a corner plot of houses built in the early 60's)
  23. Never heard of that in my life, sounds like an old wives tale to me! If i was you, id go for garage, no one likes working outside on cars
