if i were you i'd give it a go briefly, don't imagine it's going to spray oil everywhere drastically. and if you do decide to do this, please take a video - you could take the head off and get it pressure tested at a machine shop. pain in the arse though.

Last time I had the sump off was when the engine was out, and even then the oil pick up was caked in crap. It's been going over a long time I think, there was only number 4 that hadn't pretty much chewed the bearings. On the clocks my car has 188864, so if that's a true mileage even in kilometres that's a lot so ill put it down to wear. Compression across the cylinders is good!

So it was my birthday on the 28th of february, and the bottom end started knocking at about 6pm :/. i was absolutely gutted having just had it mapped etc. idle, acceleration/deceleration it was fine with no noise at all. however cruising with constant light throttle around 3000rpm+ there was a definite big end tap, completely unmistakable. Two lads from hull did this recently. A gt and a glanza. The glanza was the most epic, rod 3 punched through the block and the sump several times but he bashed fuel cut for literally yeArs. Went and fitted my old ct9 wepr kit which I told him made mine lean and within a week he killed it. The gt just put a rod through the block at 140mph lol. Gutted for you!

Lol! Two wheels and a door handle! Love these though, I've been keeping my eye out for one for a very long time now as a winter car. Nice colour too.

Haha I hate those average speed cameras. I was doing 50 and literally everything was zooming past at 70 :/ felt like an idiot but didn't want a ticket haha. Hate motorways, and that's why I don't get out of hull that much
