Let us know how you get on I'm fitting a front mount, sard rrfpr, and td04 kit tonight to my 82. All because my bloody ct9 Mani has a pretty big crack :/.
Do you happen to know who it is breaking a gt up near you? My bloke was after a few bits off that and it would make sense to arrange to do both at the same time maybe, as it is a treck for us to come up (and I do love Whitby!) lol
I could bring you some steelies? ;) haha. I've got some 14" alloys off an old clio and I love how it drives on 14s. My other wheels are 16" inovites with nankang tyres and they're just awful to drive on lol
Once you've drained it it's not a big job at all, a lot of people dont bother recovering the refidgerant first (illegal I know haha). There's a how to guide on here if you have a search
I'm most tempted by the wheels, could probably collect as well, I'm in hull so it is a good 2 hour journey though :/. I have a full set of bran new tyres that would go straight on :lol
I imagine it would be possible, but might need to modify piping. Sounds like a massive pain in the arse to me, life would be a lot easier if you rip the air con out
Mine was stock apart from exhaust and I payed £1200. Needed a few little bits and bobs doing but nothing major at all. Been a dream maintainence wise and parts are cheap and there's plenty breAking. I'm at uni, just finished my 3rd year of a 4 year physics degree
At the end of the day its a fucking nightmare of a minefield trying to set your own Fueling up. I'm just saying what mine prefers to run at. I've tried it lean as hell and rich as fuck (not by choice I might add) and mines happier when it's above 12 on boost. Anything below 12 at it just misfires and splutters (0.8 bar boost). So anybody making shitty "LOL" comments needs to get back. It's not worth arguing about so if you haven't got a constructive input then jog on.
Cool, hopefully you'll do a better job than me ;). And as for the rest, agree to disagree mate, my car more or less wont drive when the afr is that rich and I have rolling road printouts to prove it. Mega over the top if you ask me. But whatever.
Haha good luck! Mines been a pain tbh, picking up a sard rising rate reg tomorrow so going to try it with that. Mega pain having to pull over every 200 yards to adjust it lol.
At the end of the day it's what the individual prefers. Mine runs like an absolute sack of shit when it's too rich. Unless you're boosting big you don't need it stupidly rich IMO. Id get a wideband and do it myself if i were you (IM in the process of doing mine). Can't wait to get it mapped as it is so much easier. Have a go and see what you think, Haters gonna hate .
Agree with flaminsam. Richer isn't perfectly safe, it's not as risky as running lean but still. You're always compromising certain aspects when setting up Fueling in a way. Inlet temps on 1.4 bar will be a fair bit higher than for 1 bar hence the richer mixture to drop and maintain an even cylinder temperature. I'll out a pic up of my rolling road graph when my afr was around 11 on full boost, you will Lols
Yeah that's cool if you on me your address I'll get some prices. I'm at work today but I'll have a look online when I get in. Do you know of any good companies? I've not got anything this big couriered before lol
As long as it fits the rocker you should be fine. A corolla one might do it? Or even an NA one (I've ran an NA one on my gt for nearly a year and it's been absolutely fine)
