  3. As for breaking.. wouldnt you get more cash by selling the mods and returning some parts to standard? Then sell the car on. A standard V in good condition is still 2.5k all day long. Youve got another couple grand in the mods alone in that list.

  5. No dude not referring to anyone in particular. The stage thing is dog shit aswell, only time i've mentioned it would be saying an engine is a better spec than a tuning companys 'stage engines' Race spec is beginning to annoy me but what else do you say for an engine cover with AN fittings? Haha.

  8. Thats the best route for it on my setup. I had one that ran too close and melted before, sprayed oil all over the heatwrap, which set the bay on fire. Which was fun. It cost me an engine. Shaun was behind me at the time. Thats when i had to use a bottle of peach volvic as a fire extinguisher.
  9. Youd only need to stick to 0.8bar area with the standard ECU, if you go for a mappable ECU you can push the K1 until it stops making power. Think Gainzy ran 220 ish at the fly on a K1.
  10. With these cars its more of a case of where do you stop, with regards to modifying! Chose a mapper before you chose an ECU, the blue and ultimate have been done and done again but not every single mapper does them. The dude ive been speaking to about mapping mine doesnt touch piggybacks. Anything mappable is going to be a benefit over a stock ECU, due to the adjustments that can be made in the mapping tables.   11. So ive recently fitted a DIY short shifter and a set of gear cables with solid bushes. Cant believe the difference! Had a mate weld up a rocker cover with AN12 fittings, and a pair of braided hoses made up by a local hose company. Probably a bit overkill but there shouldnt be any crankcase pressure issues in future. Just need the inlet blocked up properly. Ive also taken off my TD04, it was smoking quite badly, its away back to Midland turbo to be checked over as it was rebuilt by them about a year ago.   12. Was it traffic police? Did they get you on camera? Have you admitted anything or signed a statement? Spend out on a good lawyer, its worth it to keep your license. I just got points for something last november. All this shit takes time.

  14. Chap the hub flange out with a hammer. Grind the sleeve off with a cutting disc. You will see a lip on the front of the hub, the bearing cant press that way, it presses out the rear.
  15. Id still change the pump at least. For the sake of 50 - 60 quid. Mod ahead. Future proof.
  16. If you have a good EWG you could stick an 11psi spring in, 0.83bar which is just under fuel cut. Do all the mods you want, short route air filter, decat, FMIC etc. Just maybe avoid extended periods of full throttle in winter. Or run a 0.6bar spring and up the boost with an EBC, you will actually get a better boost pattern and less likely to hit fuel cut if you set the max boost to say 0.83bar. Dont forget fueling mods! Last thing you want is running lean. Uprated 255 fuel pump, FPR if youre set on keeping the standard ECU. Possibly injectors as theyre getting onto 20year old. Then if you
  17. Hybrid TD04s will do 300, providing the rest of your setup can too. Most VF series turbos can aswell, VF35, VF24, VF29 etc. Have a look about. They will fit your current manifold and downpipe. Its the twinscroll and mitsubishi turbos which have different flanges.
