  1. Lightened fly will also technically 'lose revs' quicker as well. Difference is negligible tbh, stick with the one you have.
  2. The OEM aero kit is going for 100 quid.. if anyone is interested. I asked the question.
  3. It happened because i was being a tit Youre onto the right lines there buddy, those mods will see you at the power you want. I would say though buy a spare engine and build it up in anticipation. This was another one i done haha.
  4. Good ecu and map and thats half the battle.
  5. Buying used engines is a minefield these days. Cost adds up but forging is the way forward.
  6. I dont use FB either. Forums come and go, they always have, this has peaked sadly and it wont go back to the 7 pages of new content a day like it had before. Its not just FB taking away from the forum, there is less and less starlets aboit these days, less owners. Just the way of it dude.
  7. Id imagine for circuits only
  8. Wheres the GT Martin?! Haha. You could maybe push the front to about -4, but you start to run tyres pretty quickly even at -2
  9. When it went.. at 133mph.. i thought it was the HG, until i stripped the head off, check no2 piston. That was a standard OEM gasket with OEM headbolts, the ones from factory. The piston melted before the gasket blew, was still in good nick!
  10. Yeah stay away from the red line.. 5th gear red line in the 4paw a few years ago.
  11. Aw man ive blown up many statlet engines haha all part of the fun! Some people recently have had bother with those athena HGs. OEM Toyota are normally fine.
  12. Head skimmed, block decked, 0.5mm metal HG, ARP studs. After that if mine blows again i'll burn it to the ground.
  13. Quality pics dude, starlets looking as sharp as ever.
  14. Broken spring or strut top mount will make that noise on lock
  15. See youre in Scotland dude ive got a osf hub in Stirling if you wanted to collect.
  16. Dont change it then. Some are different.
  17. 2nd gear pulls are where its at.
  18. Sounds like youve got most it sorted but. There is more than 1 way to go about this conversion. From where you are, Get a Glanza loom from the same year starlet as yours. Get a thermostat housing with sensors aswell. Glanza ECU Use a FTE TPS, is there not one on your your inlet? Remember to set it up. If your ram horn manifold doesnt clear your PAS pump you can swap to a Glanza pump, need brackets too. You will need a FTE oil filter housing aswell.
  19. Use the thermostat housing from your GT on the Glanza engine.
