  1. I have learned to live with it now haha.
  2. It changed to outlook a few months ago, bad call if you ask me, i liked the way it worked before.
  3. What kinda escort did you have ? MK3 era ?
  4. And another who knows his stuff ;)
  5. See theres a man who knows what hes on about, many starlets you had now Iddy ? Lewis get a few of the local UKSO boys down to help ya out ;)
  6. Its not that you 'need' a paddle here, people have told you an organic will hold at 200ish, thats fine. But what if you want to up the boost soon ? You'll want to know there is a capable clutch in there already that can handle it I just like to 'mod ahead' you dont have to ofcourse. But for an extra 100 quid now id say its worth it. Get your mates round and tackle the clutch yourselves, save that 150 quid haha.
  7. Wouldnt take notice Ste.
  8. Thread of the week right here boys ;)
  9. Dont skimp on a clutch Lewis, hold out if you need to for a paddle, an organic is either the Exedy OEM replacement or slightly better, i cant say it wont hold but youd kick yourself if you had to rip the box off again in a months time because of it. You'll just need to check flywheel condition upon removal of the clutch, bad burn marks etc. Worst case it'll need a skim. Joys of the modding game ay !! Haha.
  10. A Mines will fuel a TD04 @ 0.8 bar, its always advisable to get the fueling checked on a dyno or buy a wideband and keep an eye on fueling yourself. P&Ps are ok imo but you could sell it for 500ish and get an EMB + mapping for around the same.
  11. Much ya after Ryan ?
  12. Bought some stuff off Ben in the past aswell, great seller ;)
  13. You didnt answer the OPs question, you just contradicted Ste91's description. There was no bandwagon jumping, i only mentioned the Topgear thing as a laugh ok. I never said you were pedantic, but by quoting me im your reply i'm guessing you realised your 1st reply was just a shallow dig at Ste. Express your knowledge and opinion all ya like buddy.
  14. This thread has just gotten waaaay too pedantic haha.
  15. So many Ali G quotes running through my head haha. Welcome in bud ;)
  16. A wideband is a must ^^ What boost do you want to run at ?
  17. Can pick up decent TD04 setups for about about 500-600 quid, i ran my old GT with a Mines and it fuelled it nicely. Personally wouldnt bother with a CT9 setup.
  18. There are oil ways in the head aswell. I just said it sounds like a HG failure, not written in stone, however it explains the oil, bang & running like shit straight after due to loss of comp. Or it could be a rod out, but the OP was told by a mechanic that the block was intact.
  19. Ross' old one ? Nice looking motor.
  20. Just to pre warn you, this is how the majority of the big builds come about haha, find yourself saying, 'i'll just upgrade this, and may aswell do that too etc.' Before you know it your a couple of K down and still no furter on haha.
  21. Welcome man, theres loads of info an that on here, have a wee look through some of the Tech sections an that Get a couple of pics fired up aswell man.
  22. Depends what youre into really ? If i could get about 2 months off work (never ever happening) then i'd go out to Maga / Kavos / Bulgaria and rep for the summer. Been of lads holidays there and loved it. Plus being a rep youd have loads of unprotected drunken sex which is a bonus
  23. May aswell do the fuel filter whilst youre at it, could also do the ignition timing. http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showwiki.php?title=How+to+set+timing
  24. Only Meister do coilovers for us 4paw owners, theyre about 750 or something last time i checked. Normal coilovers do fit, front is fine but the back will be sky high. I have a set of GT 40mm (i think) springs in my 85 shocks, not sure how it sits yet because its still up on axle stands lol. Not expecting it to be low at all though :/
