  1. Ive met him and he seemed really sound, he cruised down to Japfest with a couple of us a few months ago. Properly wide what he has done :/
  2. Was it owned by the boy Davey who had the rattle can red starlet ??? Lol. As per the halfords thread tehe. Sorry, had to Shite talk over.
  3. I had a similar issue a few months back in work, turned out the timing belt had skipped a few teeth and obviously preventing it from starting. Worth a check atleast.
  4. Am in it for the build, 100%, ofcourse the actual driving experience is awesome aswell, but its a bit more special when you can say, 'i built this'. The feeling that gives you knowing that youve made this car what it is...well its fantastic !! Really enjoying my current build atm And have my next build sitting right beside it haha.
  5. Yous are bullies hahahaha. That last one linked is atrocious.
  6. I use this, oil filter claw. http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/attachments/f88/12904d1215990850-filter-wrench-oem-oil-filter-oil-filter-claw-wrench.jpg Must have used it literally hundreds of times without fail
  7. Cheers for the info Shorty, i'll have a snoop round TGTT for their threads I still need to take the springs off the GT shocks and fire them on the 85 shocks, will see how much it drops the rear. My panhard rod has a very slight upwards bend in it, banana'd, i know they flex somewhat but surely it cant be right ? Also im quite happy with how stiff the back end is constructed with those torsion bars and the RARB.
  8. People are free to do whatever they want The money quickly mounts up with tuning cars, especially if you just pay someone else to do it.
  9. Welcome to UKSO Do you have any pics of the previous Glanzas ?
  10. Yeah ^^ the 14b differs from the rest. GLWS Russell , work has started on the 85 by the way.
  11. Thats why the steering rack has vac lines, to raise the idle when the engine is under load from the PAS.
  12. Pretty sure almost every starlet has idle issues, when its hunting ie, up and down up and down, thats a vac leak. Well on these cars anyway. Constant high idle wont be. The idle on my GT jumped about a bit from time to time, would sit at 1k for ages then suddenly go to 1.5k, i blamed cold weather haha. From experience the ICV at the O/S of the inlet does sweet fuck all anyway.
  13. Christ, another one !! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/toyota-stalet-gi-gt-turbo-new-pics-added-/141046834827?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item20d70be68b
  14. ^^^^ Me too. Who all runs them in silver ? Possibly Arnold i think his username is.
  15. Just clean the plugs then if they are new, oil or dirt or water might have made its way in. Got good earth straps in the bay ?
  16. Set, match. Seriously though, a big meet in the middle of the UK so its fair for everyone. I'd actually go.
  17. Looks to have been messed with slightly, but could be saved easy I want it soooo bad. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/toyota-starlet-gi-100bhp-rare-japenese-import/1030007311
  18. We need to have meets like this in the UK, would be worth the travel. Lots of awesome cars in that vid, i recognise a couple
  19. Get the owner to put it in for a MOT, see whats needed to pass (if anything) and go from there.
  20. Thanks for them man I really like them too. I just need to find another pair of wheels now, mis-matched ftw lol. Theres lots of more important stuff to get first though
  21. How do you define 'epic' though ?
