  1. Thats why the steering rack has vac lines, to raise the idle when the engine is under load from the PAS.
  2. Pretty sure almost every starlet has idle issues, when its hunting ie, up and down up and down, thats a vac leak. Well on these cars anyway. Constant high idle wont be. The idle on my GT jumped about a bit from time to time, would sit at 1k for ages then suddenly go to 1.5k, i blamed cold weather haha. From experience the ICV at the O/S of the inlet does sweet fuck all anyway.
  3. Christ, another one !! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/toyota-stalet-gi-gt-turbo-new-pics-added-/141046834827?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item20d70be68b
  4. Vultures haha. GLWS mate, lovely looking motor.
  5. ^^^^ Me too. Who all runs them in silver ? Possibly Arnold i think his username is.
  6. Just clean the plugs then if they are new, oil or dirt or water might have made its way in. Got good earth straps in the bay ?
  7. Set, match. Seriously though, a big meet in the middle of the UK so its fair for everyone. I'd actually go.
  8. Looks to have been messed with slightly, but could be saved easy I want it soooo bad. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/toyota-starlet-gi-100bhp-rare-japenese-import/1030007311
  9. We need to have meets like this in the UK, would be worth the travel. Lots of awesome cars in that vid, i recognise a couple
  10. Get the owner to put it in for a MOT, see whats needed to pass (if anything) and go from there.
  11. Found anything yet ?
  12. Thanks for them man I really like them too. I just need to find another pair of wheels now, mis-matched ftw lol. Theres lots of more important stuff to get first though
  13. How do you define 'epic' though ?
  14. I like special fried wice. (no offence intended to you sensitive people) I agree with Marc, makes sense.
  15. Indeed lol. And yeah, well it used to be, i thought he sprayed it but having looked again its just faded to fuck.
  16. Thought as much, if its just length thats different then maybe an adjustable one would fit ? I'll work something out
  17. It would be faaar too intense haha. Ban hammers goin off at all times lol. Anyway, back to the orange one, i'd love to save it
  18. Paul you crack me up hahaaha
  19. I had a little bit of time to work on this today, nothing exciting, just removed stuff from the bay. I also fitted the front shocks/lowering springs which brought the front down a little, still sits high but it is a 4WD haha. Im wondering about the panhard rod, does anyone know if its different to a GT one ? Got a feeling it will be. Also, next time i start this up it'll be under turbo power, cant wait
  20. Northhamptonshire area, (i think anyway) Dave It looks like a lovely motor, GLWS. Agreed, too cheap, these should be going back up in price
  21. If youre painting the wheels, they have to go gold !! Will be outstanding. I would leave it as it is exterior wise too, 96 spec lip kits are sooo underrated. But this is your car ofcourse, mod away
  22. Alright man, welcome to UKSO !! Where abouts you from in Scotland ? Also, fire a few pics up when you can
  23. Personally i'd change the wheel colour. Are these the same wheels that were on the Toy Tuning Demo GT (i think thats what they called it)
