Thats due to the better torque range mate you have to remember the internal setup of the engine is what really matters i.e. stroke and bore. Take the 3S-GE lump for instance roughly 160-170 BHP however the same engine but with the economy head 3S-FE roughly 140 BHP but with better torque throughout the rev range. Then you have the 5S-FE (total piece of cack in N/A form) 135BHP maximum due to the longer stroke, it probably has more torque than the 3S-FE but due to the engine being a stroked version of a Squared (Equal bore and stroke) setup its going to lack power up the rev range. Even if you manage to put the 3S-GE head onto it you won't see much of an improvement. I'm not saying that the 5E lacks revs or anything because I have never experianced one. I'm just saying that the internal setup of the engine will define how it performs on the road. Power figures do not ultimatly define what the outcome will be.

Different dynos produce different results

Yeah mines the same up till 4kish then it pulls good (Get a rolla mani ), It manages to keep up with VTRs and even gains on them in 4th dependant on gear changes though. However before 4krpm (guessing no rev guage) it feels like I have left the handbrake on. Any suggestion on how can I improve the torque curve in the graph (mainly the outlined part) as lower down you can see I lose a lot of torque and then it builds up again. Better exhaust i.e catback or decat (remebering backpressure is your friend), glanza s injector all I can think of really... Turbo? ;) I know a piggy back or standalone will help but thats a lot of cash to get setup and is it really worth it on a 1.3 N/A?... Not really.

Have you checked sparkplugs and HT leads? Check that they are not worn, rusty, moist, oily. Get some new spark plugs anyway as they will need changing at some point in the cars life

Yes I know you would need to uprate everything, brakes, antiroll bars, decent coilovers, etc etc... before you do this, and the 189bhp is about the same as ITR-DC2, In a car that is much lighter. However I do know what you are saying about the weight at the front. But it cant weigh much heavier then a 3s-GTE lump can it? Side note. I'm not saying that I am going to do this, I am just saying if I had money to throw away I would like to see what the outcome would be.
