Ok quick update. Heres the anti-roll bar fitted. Set on medium and has transformed how the car handles, it used to fell like you were draging the rear end around, now it feels like its actually part of the car. And I've started on the interior. Satin black door cards. yes I have sprayed the fabric (saw them do it on wheeler dealers )

Rich replied to string's topic in Lifestyle General
I cut it to 1/2 inch longer and wider then bent it around the side. I then secured it in with gripfill. Withstands driving into 50mph winds at 60 mph -

I've recently cut mine out, used a hacksaw just need time to keep car off the road so I can tidy the holes and marks up. -
Yeah was just playing around at "Work" whilst I was "Working" Probably do a plain black UKSC star in place of "JAM" and have UK Starlet Club or Extreme EP underneath... Sparky, the plate templates were off of demonplates.com wonder why they don't make them more legal, oh well... Maybe something like this then: another paint masterpiece
-
Well I know someone that makes up numberplates and he said he can basically make a numberplate for me with any design I want, all I have to do is design it for him. So, what to do... Do you think this would be too tacky? Or should I go for TRD logo? *Preparing to be slated* P.S. was a 5 minute paint jobby

Anyone know how wide Starlet springs should be?
Rich replied to DavidAshton's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Strange when the garage fitted my PI springs they said the fronts kept popping out of the top mount, I had a look myself and they did. However once they managed to get the cars weight onto the springs they stayed on Back ones went straight on. Could get you the part number to make sure but you'll have to wait a bit before I get home. -
Well Corrolla manifold, Induction Kit located behing the headlamp (bit more cold air) and a full manifold back, decat exhaust (make sure its a close match to the origional bore 1/4 overboare is ok 1 inch overbore will lose you power) should see you over the 100 BHP and 100 ft/lb torque mark. Things like HT leads might help but on N/As I can't see them making much difference. Remember HP is worthless without Torque. Rich

As Joz has mentioned the Corrolla manifold has been extensivly covered and we have proof of the benefits made by such a cheap and simple mod. The 5E-FE has been done a couple of times on here and from what Joz has mentioned in a few posts all you need to do is change something like two sensors the rest is plug and play. 4A-FE would not be a worthwile mod as it is the economy version of the 4A-GE which comes in 16v or 20v form. 4A-FE (I was led to beleive) is about 109bhp 4A-GE 16v is about 120-130 BHP dependent on version (Check out twincam.info) 4A-GE 20v is about 150-160 BHP dependant on

Ok cheers people am planning to go to homebase later today and pick some up. Its the nuts that hold the link bars to th car so a pack of 4 should be ok. Cheers anyways. Rich.
-
Well just a quicky really, I picked up my anti-roll bar today opened the package to have a look at the bare minimal instructions and it appears I have 2 or 4 nuts missing. Just wondering - how many nuts are s'pose to come in the package? If anyone can recal. Cheers Rich.

Ooo interesting, what size bore is the middle section? Get sum pics up -
Nice progress mate, totally agree with ya Joz powerflow are put on by cowboys in most places, I'm just hoping a Glanza bumper will cover it up Keep up the progress fella.
-
Rims look great mate. Shame the back always looks higher than the front when lowered on just springs. JAG I think they done it to reprisent(sp) castrol (Sport Ralley) - (thats my own opinion and in no way reflects real life )

URGENT HELP! calling all ROLLA MANI user's!
Rich replied to 200sx-Starlet-Jay's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Keep your standard throttle body, Its pretty stratight forward once you've got the starlet mani removed (hardest part is trying to figure how to undo the bottom bolt on the 4th runner), then its a simple plug in and play jobby. Earth cable, I attatched mine to the throttle boddy, muddyell attatched his to the fire wall. There is a walkthrough around here somewhere. Happy fetling -
Two nuts on the cable near the holder. Get a spanner and some pliars, widen the gap between them, slide over rubber holder, tighten up.

If someone could shed some light on this would help me out aswell. It apears my car is running a bit rich so more air should help even it out a bit more aswell. -
Cheers mate, had a bit of trouble on the emissions, but with a fair bit of injector cleaner she passed, i'll sort that out with a decat ;) (Could a mod or admin change my thread title pwease - Something like "My White on White EP, 56k warning" )
-
Well havn't had an update in a while, that has been due to this months tight budgtet Tax, Insurance and MOT to pay for all at the end of the month ;) Now thats all out the way and the EP has passed her exams however I did get a warning on the exhaust being too loud In the coming months leading up to JAE I will be pulling my finger out (easy people ) and getting some mods done and updates with pics to go with it. Comming up this month should be: Whiteline Rear Strutbrace Whiteline Anti-Roll bar Cusco Front Strutbrace and if I have some money left over maybe some other small bits to

5 Best things to say when caught sleeping at your desk: 5. "They told me at the Blood Bank this might happen." 4. "This is just a 15 minute power nap they raved about in the time management course you sent me to." 3. "Whew! Guess I left the top off the Tipex. You probably got here just in time." 2. "Did you ever notice sound coming out of these keyboards when you put your ear down real close?" And the NUMBER ONE best thing to say if you get caught sleeping at your desk... 1. Raise your head slowly and say, "...in Jesus' name, Amen."

Well theres only one way to find out I guess... From the RR garph its seems like the torque drops off like a stone after it hits peak, maybe it isn't getting enough fuel through.
