Im sure if they raised the cost of entrance a little bit more I'm sure no one would complain if it meant keeping JAE. A little extra from everyone adds up to a fair bit of money. I havn't been before but will feel really gutted if 2007 was the last one.

I definatly sounds like its coming from the alternator. Its weird, it was working fine and then as soon as I stripped it out it started making the noise

Its more like a sucking sound than a squeak.

Thanks sparky, will be getting antiroll bar next and maybe a tint or two. Got a query about the castor kit, Apparently it makes the steering a bit heavier, is this true? I don't have PAS so don't really want it much heavier.

If it is turbo related, where would mine be located because its not in the usual 'bolted to under manifold' place just messing... It is definatly coming from the area of the alternator or water pump, I tried bleading the water system but that didnt really do much. RM

Will do mart. @Steve: Wouldn't spraying WD40 on the belt make it squeak. Also would it be worth while spraying the wheels that turn with the belt?

Trust me the pics do it more justice than its worth needs a fresh coat of paint and the interior is a bit stained and dirty. But that will all be sorted when I get some more time to strip it out. Pretty much stripped all that back out (needs painting aswell). Just gotta sort the god dam wining sound it makes at the moment (see technical).

Yeah it doe, It also get a bit quieter when it warms up because the revs drop. well its a bit annoying when people ask if its supercharged and you say no I spose the look on their faces is a kodak moment I'll give it a try anyway. Mechanic coming over on thursday to have a look aswell.

Well I have got an update but sadly no Pics as I can't find my god dam camera. Over the last week I have lowered the car by -40mm(ish) and had a new pair of shoes put on with yoky's. I promise to get sum pics ASAP!

Ok might try that, hopefully wont make things worse. It doesn't sound like its coming from the belt though. More so the alternator itself. Well if anyone needs help with the sound it makes, It sounds like its bloody supercharged!!!!

Well to cut things short, recently I have noticed a high pitched wering sound coming from the engine bay. Its in the area of the alternator. I am wondering if it is the alternator its self or could it be the water pump (possible because it reminds me of my shower when you leave it running too low ). Hopefully it might just be the belt (but wouldn't that be a squeak) Has anyone experianced this before and come to a diagnosis? Thanks in advanced. Rich.

Its modded, no flush boot though - still got the black strip across. Got some german body kit (quite subtle) 17" Azev's, 2 Oval Dtm Exhausts (don't laugh they go well with the kit) and HIDs. We saw another one down there so it might be that one you saw. My car - pretty much standard with an exhaust and stupid skinny tyres

Does it go past 112mph?

I was down there last night in my white N/A saw mainly GTs down there though there was one fairly standard black Glanza. Was with my mate in his white Astra Sport 'family bargin bucket'
