  6. 5E is the 1.5 version of the 4E - you take the all but the block, connecting rods and pistons from the 4E-FTE and the block from the 5E (forged 5E rods and pistons) and merge them together (obviously it takes a bit more than that but thats the jist of it)
  7. Nice motor, 5efte it, that should see you hit 250 (less lag on bigger tubby aswell)
  8. Rich (Rich ) Sidcup, Kent - 20-40 Mins to Southend (dependant on pit stops and how many 318s we see )

  10. Leads connected properly (to plug and dizzy cap)? Moisture in the leads around the plug? correct plugs? Plugs in propperly? could be one of a few things really. If you have checked all that and it still does it, I'd suggest putting the old ones back in and check see if they do it aswell.
  11. Good news mate, all the hard work will surely pay off. Keep it up

  13. Ok well I stripped out the back of my motor a couple of weeks ago and, I'm sure most of you are aware, there are pieces of metal stuck onto the floor i.e. next to the spare wheel and where the rear bench used to be. Is there any way of removing them or should I just paint over them? Cheers Rich.

  20. Hopefully we do get to see JAE 08, I know this may be seen as Topic hijacking but will UKSC be having a stand at japfest. I'm thinking of going this year but don't know whether to buy tickets yet or wait.
  21. Well my mechanic briefly looked at it as it was slightly pissin down yesterday. He tried spraying WD40 onto the belt but that didn't work (didn't make it squeak either) he said take the belt off, start the engine for a couple of seconds, if it still makes the sound then the engine is fergugered if not take the alternator off, clean it up and spray wd40 on the moving parts (he thinks it could be the baring)
  22. Get the numberplate surrond from the glanza, It has 2 reverse lights built in.
  23. JapFest does look like a good one.
