  1. If you want N/A tuning potentional stick in a 2ZZ-GE (can't remember if theres any other letters) vvtLi engine. Its a 1.8 at about 189 BHP and if I had 3 grand to spend I would go for it. Show them VTEC boys a lesson.
  2. Nice progress on the car mate. Mikey, 1st gear M20 :P
  3. You mean the winders? Do window up, Get a rag and slide it between the winder and door card. There is a little clip in there that you need to snag on the rag. Watch out though, when it comes off it will go flying off into unreachable places. Or go halfrauds and get the window winder thingymajig...
  4. Yeah I think that was due to the 35k miles on the car and a custom induction kit placed round the side of the batery behind the light. I do have a powerloss exhaust (backbox, gona get it done somewhere else, PROPERLY ) so don't think that does anything.
  5. Wait until tommorow and go Halfrauds, get the drill bit with the black rubber wheel on it, takes about half hour each side with that, otherwhise will take you the rest of your life.
  6. The "bug eyed" corrolas (95-98 I think) came with the manifold. With the same 1.3 4efe. There is quite alot of info in the Technical section.
  7. Oooo thats über That might help my lowdown torque problem
  8. You know ya gona download it for ya motor
  9. Probably be better off with 5e-fe engine, 4e-fe ECU and 4e-fe pistons (as they're higher compression, keeping 5e rods obv.)
  10. Probably worth taking it apart, re-grease it and tighten it up again. Or srapy loads of WD40 over it
  11. Isn't that for the 16v one, spose it could be modded though If you want to keep it N/A I know its blue
  12. Sorry ^^ Rear adjustable whitline one. With poly bushes. Maybe a bit more grease will work. I was just wondering if it was a savere problem. I.E will rip car apart
  13. Ok, when Im pushing hard around a tight corner it seems as though the newly added anti roll bar makes a nasty creeking sound. I am pretty sure it is the anti roll bar as it didn't do it before. However I never really pushed it that hard before it. It doesn't make the sound If its a long shallow corner, just a tight one say 60 degree or something. Anyone experiance the same or had this issue and fixed it? Cheers, Rich
  14. Well I have Rear Antiroll bar, Pi Springs and Yokahama tyres, I was definatly suprised on how much grip I had after fitting these. Oh and 60mph on standard starlet suspension is not advisable
  15. Read the sig dude vvv thats with the same inlet manifold and an air filter (I don't think a powerloss backbox will do much) However the accuracy of that is questionable
  16. Yeah but c'mon you can't really call it a motorway if it feel like it has more pot holes than Normandy beach. They just need to resurface it properly then it will be quieter, well at least inside the car. ;)
  17. A playground for children This really sucks, instead of making it 50mph how about sort the road surface out, it changes every 10 yards... no wonder its noisy. I was on it yesterday and felt like I had a flat tyre ;)
  18. Depends which half of tank that was, because the top "half" is bigger I got an induction kit and I got bout 260 miles on just under full... didn't try it without kit though.
  19. I never knew that they had better front bars, I guess you learn something new everyday... ;)
  20. KIT (and give me your original spoiler its the right colour anyway ;))
  21. Oh and its not your average 1.3 N/A starlet either, it comes with 100bhp (ish) due to a different setup to our N/As. Such as 4 Branch inlet and ingnition system (coilpack)
  22. Cheers people. Got some Jap plates made up yesterday, plain ones with black border. I should also be getting a new drivers seat soon (this week hopefully). So if anyone has tips for fitting corbeau bucket seats (peferably without welding) it would be much appreciated. Rich.
