hey adam im in a bit of a fuss right now was about to buy the 5e engine this morning and firstly was stuck trying to figure out if to buy the 5efe or the 5efhe.... then we realised that the scat rods i just ordered for the 4e wont work in it so had to cancel that thought all together as i can be bothered with buying another engine and having to purchase new forged rods after just purchasing the scat ones... then more troubles after deciding out of the 5e head and block and saying screw it forged 4e we realised the the wiseco pistons are domed -10 and because of that the compression ratio is going to change... can you let me know how your getting around this as i see u are using wiseco pistons as well

help needed all you guys who have gone forged engine way... the wiseco pistons i got are are not flat and have -10 domes.... we are a little bit worried now that the compression in the cylinder will lower too much and the car become a lag monster with the td04 turbo on it ... any one whose done this can u give me a heads of how you got around this problem

yea not going individual coils that is more work there again and this project is quickly getting way out of hand ... and i mean way out of hand and i haven't even painted the dam thing yet....for christ sake i just payed 3000 tt dollars on an entire 5e head an block and all i real want is the bottom end Adam are u running a stand alone ecu cuz if i run into any problems ill be messaging you for help.... we've been in touch with Dave Walker from emerald and he says it will definitely work doing what we want it to do .... but he himself has not worked on one of these engines so it will be a learning experience for him as well ... well from 10 million miles away that is

im getting the emerald ordered in this weekend i believe .... looking to run 3 maps on it ... track day map every day map and a launch control map... what we did in the bora with the emerald is have the high beam placed some where else as a switch so that we can use the high beam leaver as the launch control leaver... ill sit on the line pull on the high beam ... and wapwapwapwapwap boom out the hole 20 psi boost

wouldnt i only need a crank position sensor and trigger wheel if im say to fuck with the distributor and putting individual coil packs

was told id have to change the map sensor for sure to use the emerald... but what other sensors would need to go?

This is just me being slightly bored at work and deciding that a little encouragement can go a long way... As you guys may have read before I am the UKSO lost cousin that has been punished with hot sun and perfect weather all year round in the Caribbean island of Trinidad. Home of the wonderful steelpan, the worlds greatest Carnival, glorious beaches and BEAUTIFUL women. Oh and did i fail to mention that we have some of the worlds most astonishing array of cars as well...however this does come with a bit of a downside being on a small island so far away from life makes tuning even a bicycle a hard thing as after market parts are not usually as simple to purchase as running down to your local shop or even jumping on ebay. I mean this is not to say that certain cars are not simpler than others. its been a while since ive posted as the parts just took for ever to reach to trinidad but they cleared customs yesterday and im gona pick them up at the post office tomorrow... so project forged td04 continues this weekend it does however with a little twist i managed get holf a 5EFE head and block while waiting for the parts at the bargainest of bargain prices so i guess ill be frankensteining this bad boy and using the bottom half of the 5e.... I've already sauced the head gasket and the ARP head bolts i do however have a question so all you 5e guys out there help help help as for gains i was told the 5e intake is the better intake to be using can any one fill me in on what they think would be the smarter of the 2 moves original powder coated yummyness or the 5e (pending gains)
