Bump -
It could be, I had another listen yesterday and couldn't hear it. Got all new toyota gaskets anyway so if it does it after I change the mani then I'll be worried lol idles fine now it's actually too low since I adjusted it, gave it a good thrash and that seemed to help out aha
-
So finally we had a dry day so i gave the gt a proper clean and fitted my smaller front plate Also, noticed a noise coming from the engine, any help finding out what it is would be appreciated http://vid823.photobucket.com/albums/zz156/danwethepeople/2BE40AC0-3E33-42CF-A551-AF0239C701AA_zps2c6izond.mp4

Well my major tick was actually the idle control valve, after you unplug it you can still hear the injectors
-
Was the idle any different dude? Has the new sensor fixed it? Mine randomly wont start first time every now and again
-
Been trying to get to the bottom of my gt having a really high idle, that mostly sorted itself out, while I was under the bonnet adjusting the idle screw, I noticed this noise coming from around the dizzy area, can anyone help identify what it is? Car does have 170kms on it, but has been driving completely fine apart from developing a high idle speed recently http://s823.photobucket.com/user/danwethepeople/media/2BE40AC0-3E33-42CF-A551-AF0239C701AA_zps2c6izond.mp4.html

Cheap ebay bulbs and some ballasts i had laying around, no butchery needed at all man its plug and play! Yeah its totally worth it they look really good, i have hids in a few cars and it comes out brilliant with quadlights because of the projectors Edit: This is HIDs compared to those 30 a pair Philips bulbs
-
Aha dont you worry my moneys been spent elsewhere recently ;) But actual nice wheels are soon on my list of things to buy, and i do have some in mind
-
Yeah i know, should see the inside lip, on one it didnt run two at any point, the balancer said it needed 60 and a 105 hahaha, theyre cheap shit no name wheels so its no surprise, cant complain for 50 quid with two useable tyres
-
So, i got another set of wheels, theyre cheap and bucked but theyre ok on the back and they look much better than steels! Bad side Slighty better side aha
-
Yeah they're cheap wheels pretty damn buckled, so I stuck them on the back and put my Rotas on the front, seems ok so far
-
Now see that makes more sense aha! Using these nuts (You can see why I want to change these) These wheels (front ones)
-
Na they are steel ones still, I'll never use alloy ones again after the d1 specs I had on my n/a They will be tight I always use a torque wrench on wheels
-
I'm using tpi extended ones, had them on 3 cars with no spigot rings and never had a problem, gotta be the corrosion on the wheel or the tyres then
-
Steel wheel nuts are tapered aswell, if I weren't using tapered wheel nuts they'd do more than just make a funny noise lol! I'm thinking it's the tyres, I'll try the other two after work and go from there
-
Centre bore is way off to be fair, but I've never had spigot rings and I've never had this noise before Wheels did look like they sat flush, but thinking about it the face of the back of the wheels was well corroded Steel nuts, hole looks fine, bolts sat nice in the wheel It was raining and dark when I fitted them so I didn't look into it greatly tbh
-
I was thinking tyres as yes they were two different ones, I'll try the two with matching baldys tomorrow aha,
-
So i bought a cheap set of wheels, but when i put two on the front they make the same rumble as a gone wheel bearing, but its gone now ive put shit steels back on. Havent had a chance to look in to it that much, but just wondering if anyone has had it?
