Another weekend and some more bits done! This weekend the focus was on the exhaust, got the toyosports decat fitted and got the japspeed rear section extended, is it really neccessary to have a 3inch exhaust on a starlet? Its virtually impossible to have it without it knocking on anything! Apologies for the snapchat screenshots but i forgot to take actual pictures. And the back box is past the rear bumper finally! Got a few repair jobs done today, wired the boost gauge in properly, wired the sub remote cable properly, finally sorted the rattle from the drivers door out, put screws in the heater controls as it was missing 2 out of 3 so it keep falling into the dash and I cleaned it, while it was raining. Also fitted a splitter yesterday Also ordered my decat, a new reducer in black to replace the bodged blue crap on the dump valve, new bushes for the gear linkages and some black and purple vacuum hose because I hate the blue! Just bought a reducer but gotta wait for it to turn up, will this harm the turbo? And will not having the cat temp sensor affect anything? because the seat I've bought doesn't have the hole for it And yeah that's exactly what my old starlet was like aha! Yeah its quite annoying when its still a bit cold i can barely hit 30 without boosting! My mate thats got a gt4 was saying them boys put some kind of restrictor in the decat to avoid boost creep? Does that sound like something that could help? Got a list of questions so i thought id write a thread Firstly, how much worse on fuel will my gt turbo be if i decat it? because obviously its got the two lambda sensors will it run badly? Will a motorbike can be too restrictive? I dont like the 4 inch exit exhaust and ive got a can sitting at my mates What can i do to make it quicker without changing intercooler and retaining the high low boost button? So, been working on this some more... Yesterday i fitted my d2 rear coilies Then i went and removed a set of ISC coilovers from my mate matts old gls and fitted my lowering srings and shocks on his. This morning, at half 9 in the goddamn rain, i swapped my teins out for the isc ones. And this is how it sits Still needs fine tuning but it looks a shit ton better! Fitted my tein Coilovers off of my n/a today, and I'll be changing them back tomorrow, can't believe I used to drive daily with suspension like this! They truly have no oil left in them at all! Looks so good lower though, despite the tale Definitely looking into 5ecolins polo coilies method! Got d2s for the back but it's the front that sits well high!
