with regards to the valve stems its best to feed rope through the spark plug hole and fill the cylinder up whilst its at bdc then by hand crank the engine up to compress the rope gently.this will hold ure valves in. -

my coils mounted to the engine block side.was before new coil anyway. fully cleaned and prepared all touching surfaces to baremetal etc. the difference is so evident now and cars runs so much better -

lol ,eh yeah i mean the car feels alot better and i am hoping thats it now. as for it taking a knock i remember seeing a tiny lil crack last june on the side of it when i did an engine conversion / swap. i defo didnt knock it at all as i took so much care when putting in the turbo engine. its very rusty all around the whole coil so i am guessing the constant hot and cold around engine bay has caused moisture to build up inside it and has gradually split it open. even the little chassis the ignitor and coil sit on was rusty and corroded,took me a good few hours to fit up new coil to

just do the above and u will have ure answer dude. both are quite likely to happen , and neither are to bad to fix. you DONT have to remove head to do valve stem seals and a turbo rebuild kit are feck all on ebay . -

either turbo seal or valve stem seals easyiest way to check is to remove exhaust manifold and see if theres oil residue in any of the ports in the head -

havent bought new leads or king yet and i dont know how old they are plugs gaps are good -

just went to take a picture of coilpack and ignitor etc and found the side of the coil looking like this would this cause my issues ?? -
hey guys im hoping somebody can help me as today my starlet played up bad. I am getting a definate missfire at 2,000 rpm under ligh load INTERMITTENTLY. happend a few times and on the way so to work, it cut out fully and took two attempts to start. also on way home the missfiring on the odd occasion and also cut out again !! the diagnostics had shown all is fine. just had new plugs, dizzy cap and rotor. checked plugs and they are bang on with no fouling. its a wierd intermitant problem and I dont understand ? help please !!

surely the only way that can happen is because of pressure coming from spark plug hole.
