I spotted this, check the funny speedo out lol
-
Best get cracking lol

Ill give that a go, from what i was aware they replaced the input and output shaft bearings? Im not too clued up on the internals of a gearbox, would they have taken the diff out? When they had the box they told me it was and lsd ect.
-
As you can see it wore away and made it completely round
-
My speedo was out for ages then gave up all together, turns out where someone had had the speedo drive off before and damaged the connection to the box, being cable tied on it slowly wore it away, swapped a new cable on a solved the issue, this was a manual box tho

It's acceleration and deceleration and low speed cornering, ive read in various places that some diffs are noisy but sometimes it makes some strange noises which dont sound too great, when cornering you lose confidence with it, As said the box was rebuilt with new bearings, before the box made grinding noises when the clutch was engadged but the diff never clunked or made a noise, but since the rebuild the gears a silent and the diff is noisy? Thanks for your response

Id say most are the way they were made, they wouldve been more popular than 2 hole ones as they would only fit n/a's, ive never seen a two hole one before anyway
-
I didnt even know they did specific ones, most are 4 hole anyway
-
An n/a doesnt have 2 studs on the strut towers so they only bolt up to the top of the coilovers. Could be n/a specific?
-
My cusco brace was the same as above, when off he car you can see how the ends are shaped to fit the car.
-
Thanks for that Phil, ill look into it

Ive had my gearbox rebuilt and since its gone back together its very noisy/ clunky. It has a TRD lsd and before the rebuild it wasent noisy. The oil used was 75W-90. This was what was recommended on the original paperwork for it from TRD. Ive read things in various places that suggest changing the gearbox oil to lsd specific. Can anyone suggest what to use? Any input would be great. Thanks

They sell them at toyota still 👍
-
Would also be interested to know, swaped the clutch out of my car for a replacement stage 3 and the one i took out was a TRD one. Would be nice to know some knowledge on it.

Mine went dogey, and that was because it hadn't been fitted to the gearbox properly and had rounded off the pin, bought a new cable and it's been fine ever since
-
Yeah, there's one self taper that goes into the back, should be a Phillips I think?

Cars been up for sale on ebay before, it was for allot less tho, thought it sold for around £1,800,
-
My alternator bearings make more of a whistling as apposed to a squeal, if it squeals its probably not tight enough
-
Fair price for a genuine part, cost me more to make my own rail lol glws
-
I always thought this seemed expensive, its been for sale for a while now too, depends what it's actually like in person
