Rite don't really know where to start with this......i'll try and get things in order but most of the actual work has been done in the past week ish and i've kind of lost track of the order of things, and my mind! http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2739_zpsbeb7f52f.jpg.html'> http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2747_zpsc3ff2283.jpg.html'> Door cards trimmed and fitted. http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2750_zps36915298.jpg.html'> The rear drums were in a complete shit state so pulled them off and gave them a beasting, primer and paint. Also got a few more coats on the front calipers (being fitted tomorrow) TTE decals and braided lines, got a set to fit on the rears but wont have time to get them on. http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2768_zps03942126.jpg.html'> My first attempt with a rattle can on the inlet went down pretty well, couple of spots arent perfect but they dont show when fitted......Ford Sea Grey http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2772_zpsbf1d28a3.jpg.html'> Spent about two days fighting with the car fitting the exhaust manifold and straight through, partly because i've never really worked on cars and partly because some dick had welded one of the bolts fixing the manifold to the engine block. Ended up having to grind it off and am now rocking a weak corner, it seems sweet though?http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2776_zps6371661c.jpg.html'> Made a bit of a balls up with the exhaust itself, mainly because it was a decat system and i had to remove my cat to fit it.....anyway it didn't sit well and sounded mental! Rocked it for a few days but had to put the cat back on......this will be happening again on friday just waiting on a bit in the post. http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2780_zps74dae295.jpg.html'> Ditched the old rad in favour of a masively inappropriate alloy one and gave the fan a bit of a clean up. http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2785_zpsda2b74c1.jpg.html'> http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2787_zps14b663ac.jpg.html'> http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2809_zps593091b5.jpg.html'> This lots all fitted bar the induction side of things ......still working on a way of fitting that! http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2812_zps5e7e0287.jpg.html'> http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2814_zps15a12b49.jpg.html'> After some first class bubble wrapping, wooden splinted postage i managed to get a set of OG wind deflectors.........but in need of some attention and lacking any clips. http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2818_zpsbbd9fa62.jpg.html'> After seeking advice on here i opted for numberplate tape to hold them on.....and it seems to be! http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2826_zps2c14e51e.jpg.html'> Couple of shots of how the exhaust is currently sitting.... http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2825_zps2d0ca7e1.jpg.html'> http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2824_zpsfa1b7304.jpg.html'> Please excuse the filth. Heed my warning anyone thinking of heat wraping their manifold with it on the car......its a fucking mission! http://s1293.photobucket.com/user/Joeflynns/media/DSCF2830_zps43f80027.jpg.html'> So Japfest looms and im gonna try and get the TTE lip on, maybe momo wheel, got the exhaust to re-fit, bits of interior to go back in...other little jobs and cleaning. Wanted to get the wheels done but the only quote i had time to get was £120 per wheel for re-ferb and paint..........er.....nah!! Onwards......

Tiger seal advice please - how to stick a mesh grill?
Flynn replied to scatter's topic in Exterior Design
I've been flat out trying to get other bits done for Japfest mate....but i did have a read through the how2, and its spot on, really in-depth! Good effort! -
My god........

lots of rare starlet parts for sale - cusco/trd/c's/zep
Flynn replied to pig666eon's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
As above^^^ -
Front brakes, re-fit exhaust system again, interior back in, heat wrap exhaust, maybe sort the induction and clean the wheels off it!! Got a few evenings and Friday day.....hmmmmmmm?!
-
The throttle cable on mine and the spring had got real dry, re-oiled and then cable tied the cable up a bit and seems to have solved it!
-
Had my exhaust system off 3 times this week and I'm pretty sure it won't make the drive to Japfest....still got hundreds of other bits to do and my coil over story involves paying £500 and never seeing them!!!! Don't give up mate.....you still got a week ;)

Is tiger seal ok for wind deflectors or has anyone got any other options......not got any clips?

Rob_bower's 242 bhp SR - Refresh and fueling upgrades.
Flynn replied to rob_bower's topic in EP91 Progress Blogs
Good luck mate....can't wait to see this for real! -
Nah the only colours I could find we're black or white....
-
I'm about to use "U-Pol" Tiger Seal to fix a front lip....can't recommend it yet but pretty sure u'll want something along those lines.
-
I've just fitted a straight through system onto a 4-2-1 aftermarket manifold and I'm defo down on power....gonna stick the cat back in tomorrow and see how that effects things? Sounds lovely on idle but the expression "all show and no go" couldn't be truer!
-
My first show too mate....flogging myself to try and get the SR even halfway to where I wanted it! Still got big brakes to fit, corolla mani, new rad, wind deflectors, lip, steering wheel, induction, door bars, stereo and other random bits to fit, re-cat the new exhaust system......and then think about cleaning the dirty bitch! It's gonna be a long week! Looking forward to seeing your tidy SR in the flesh mate

Will diesel not leave any residue of its own?
-
Anyone?
-
As above fitting a corolla inlet mani but know I need a longer vacuum hose over the standard one?
-
I'm wanting to flush my intake manifold through after sanding/nitromores to clean out any paint flecks and shite that may have got in there but what's best to use......solvents, fuel? I'm guessing not water?
-
Im an arborist mate, and if we're getting all Latin 'Fagus Sylvatica Purpurea Pendula' is the fella you've got! (to 5m in the right conditions) Pick your time well for transplanting, Beech as a genus dosn't transplant well! Good luck!
-
What all of it? it's got grass growing out of it!
-
Copper beech mate.....worked in one a few weeks back pushing 100 foot, takes a good while to reach those heights though! Sounds more of an ornamental variety so may stay a small ish tree. You gotta watch garden centres and nurseries, we're constantly taking down huge trees that were sold as "dwarf" varieties! Amazing trees in full leaf!
-
I know where there's an original one of these rotting in someone's front garden....these were an actual fail straight off the production line though, the battery only had enough beans to open/close and then open the gul wing doors, then you'd be stuck with the doors open lol Think I remember a Company offering to bring these up to date, lotus engine swap etc but at a massive cost!

Flynn replied to hough39's topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
Surely the words roll cage and child seat shouldn't be in the same sentence lol?
