time to buy a gt turbo :)
-
""""""" Am all for a bargain but I have to put a value on my time. It baffles be when people buy cheap parts and spent ages modding them and getting them to work when there's tryed and tested things sitting ready. People spend 2-3 days with research and fitting stuff and only save like 40quid """""" thats the whole point in tuning !!!! who wants to buy just of the shelf and be done ???? not me i think there is more guys like me that wants to really be hands on and tune / modify and get a REAL understanding how it al works :)

-
100 euro she needs rebuild anyways
-
and bhp to ofcourse :) there is a thread on the subaru forum of a guy having a hybrid pushing 1.4 bar on a billet wheel and uprated housing also said no balancing was needed becous the billit wheel was balanced ???
-
i had 1 it was like tial 38mm 2 bolt it held boost rock solid the same till the limiter noooo issues what so ever they can alway be modded to work better if they leak like mike did lapping the valve to seal better
-
you deffo will see gains more air is pumped in . spool time aint affected because the exhaust wheel stays same size
-
thats 200.000km best to replace conrod bearings for peace of mind you can do that urselve if you have tools and a micrometer to check the bearing thicknes
-
not bhp boost !!! 1 bar to 1.1 max
-
way more cfm / air pumping at same boost level in other words spool the same but icrease torque by soooo much more same basic as what i am doing to my twin ct9 setup but this will be single tubo
-
22bhp difernce ? i like the early boost curve from the tfo , cant wait to have a bigger compressor housing /wheel of a td05 or likes on there they must become really big torque monster ????
-
so sell the engine on to me and scrap her then wont get much scrap value ere in thye republic
-
thats wel beyond stage 1 ha ha ad bigger injectors to your list
-
on the top pic wish is the power line ??? full boost @3600 ( 1 bar ) ?? tfo35 @ 3600rpm 110bhp ? ct9 hybrid @ 3600rpm 90bhp ?? also hard to compare they dont run same boost i thin k ( if i read it right ??? )

"""""""The cost, labour, time and effort to rebuild a motor essentially because it's dropped to 160psi compression probably every 30k miles is a notoriously painstaking one.""""""""" @ adamb , it wont wear that fast !!! mine only lost 5 psi sinds rebuild 3 years ago
-
i run a very narrow rad and for the rest there is nothing there 1 big hole to the bumper ( no aircon ot fmic !!! ) i already test fitted it without the black pipe and it fitted mike :) planning on making a removable slam pannel like socks car make life so much easier to work in future , thanks socks for the new idea
-
try double clutching !!!
-
hey lads anyone have a fucked tdo4l / tdo5 lying around i need the compressor wheel and housing to hybrid my little tfo35 for extra torque they must be in perfect condition
-
i just ordered EXTRA laaaarge baby wipes of ebay in fairness i am getting a few together now the next generation starleteers will al be going small twin turbod ha ha
-
thats still a good engine right there nice compression will last a few more years ( unless conrod bearing gives way ha ha )
-
compression will be higher now !!!! cheap fix ha ha
-
there great for the atm run ha ha
