BGA gaskets? Good or bad luck?

So, some time ago I bought a BGA rocker cover gasket for my 4E-FE, it leaked... After that I decided to go on ebay (id-workz shop) and get the gasket from them, paid a lot more and what did I get?? Another BGA gasket just the same as the one I already have... Great!

Just put a little sealant on bud will stop the leak.

I presume your putting the sealant at the 4 corners of the cam cover? Just interested as changing mine in 2 weeks thanks

Just get a genuine gasket lads I had the same trouble with numerous cheap gaskets replaced it with a genuine Toyota item never had a problem since

It was 14 euro for a genuine gasket from toyota just get the proper one and put a bit of sealer where the cams are and forget about it . job done

I know but I don't have. alot of access to genuine where I am... And I thougt ID-WORKZ had the good stuff... If i k'ew it was BGA I wouldn't have bought it..

Just buy Toyota, I done the same then used tuning developments for a genuine item and it hasn't leaked since

We have genuine gaskets on the shelf as well as aftermarket. They are all available on our website.

We've sold dozens of these as well using them on our own cars and they've been spot on. I can recall one person having an issue and we sent a new one and he had no issues.

As mentioned above you need to use sealant on the dome areas

yes but look at the washers... the rubber is all britled...

If you by an OEM gasket you wont have any issues it will seal it one time

Looks like you may have done the bolts up far too tight. Doing them up to tight can be worse for leaks than too loose

As mentioned above you need to use sealant on the dome areas

you shouldn't have to use sealant on any part of the rocker on the gasket or the rubber washers

It's on the manual, gasket maker around the cams only

And there's some sealant on it already from factory if you take it out for the fist time, I had some there already

Have changed my cover gasket 3 times using OEM never had to use sealant once
