Standard civic rad

Not sure if this is the right section, but I'm wondering if a standard civic radiator would be suitable to use in an ep91 ?

Doing a turbo conversion at the minute and thought it would look neater. Would it still cool the engine as it should ?

Temps get a lot higher obviously with a turbo mate so I'd go for an aftermarket twin core civic rad. I've looked into it a lot and you can do it on the cheap through eBay but for quality and fitment I'll be going for the TD set up

It can be done I had a standard civic rad on for a good 9 months the fan came in more frequently due to having a lot less coolant but temps stayed normal.

I guess it depends what set up and power you'll be running. I'm only going to be running a stock ct9 set up by am going for a triple core to future proof the car

You can get a good civic rad from JPerformance for £50 new. That's what I run on my GT and that's fine for temps

The eBay cores seem ok but ive seen fitment and reliability issues with some. Plus I want the whole fitting kit with a decent fan and if anything were to go wrong down the line id rather have bought it all from a reputable tuning company. You might be fine though mate as the guys have said and get all the bits on the cheap and never have any issues

Standard rad was fine on mine. Twin core cooled too much if anything

Standard civic rad is fine and the ones on eBay are perfect I've ran a few different ones just because I'd-workz or td sell them for 150 odd Pounds doesn't make them any better

im using an ebay triple core, and re used the ac rad fan, works a treat

Thanks guys, will be a standard ct9 setup maybe go hybrid in the future but was only looking for something quick and that makes the bay look a lot cleaner.

Will most likely invest in an aluminium one later on down the line

Was running an civic rad on an td04 setup was perfectly fine. The TD alloy rad kits are really good as well
