Arnold
I've finally installed my AEM wideband to my car and on boost, i'm getting readings as low as 10.0. That's the lowest the dial will report. I've heard 11.5 sounds about fine, but 10.0 is obviously way too rich right? She's got an E-Manage Ultimate fitted
starletezy
thats very rich better than running lean though would get it checked by your mapper
5e colin
maybie your car is just mapped that safe in the 10S and nothing wrong with wideband ???
triple j
If its in the 10's on boost there wouldn't be much power to be had as it would be on the verge of bore wash and she would be bogging down on u,what's it reading at idle.
Ollieh17
Standard ecu on mine went down to the tens
daniel_g
It'll be mapped rich for safety.
triple j
Its very rich, but saying that I never saw the stock ECU's afr on boost.
AdamB
That's way too rich.
Bug679
Standard ECU on mine runs into the 10s also
patman
Have standard ecu in my GT, have a sard fpr on only running 0.8 bar for now, (till got time to change things) anyway I find dropping the fpr down to around 2.2 bar, I get around 11.0/11.2 on WOT that's in 4th of course, so obviously these standard ecu's are made to run rich. Arnold
Idle is around 14, it fluctuates a little. She drinks fuel on boost so yeah it's probably just very safe! I'll go get her checked out
morgey
Was at a dyno day a year or so back and a mates n/a fezzie st was in the 10s (stock 😂), the operator reckons he'd only expect to see a car with low 10 afr's if it was a drag car or very high performance. _JT_
My wideband reads 10.0 on full boost 4th gear. Mapped by TD and it's never missed a beat. On EMB that's how they set them up
triple j
There would be a major hike in power leaning out from 10afr to a still safe 11.0/11.5 on boost, u can feel the difference from the seat alone, one thing u would be sure of is not getting det with the 10.0afr bore wash. AdamB
Running that rich is just wasting fuel.
RobSR
When mine was mapped by TD it taper'd down to low 11's, every now and then i saw a high 10. They will go rich on a standard engine top end to stop them destroying themselves.
