Galliano
from what i can see and make of the mechanical business... is it an exhaust pipe and from the bottom of the manifold?im no doubt wrong..
JAG
whooooa... what is it???LOL sorry. relatively new to all this car businessI second or fifth that or whatever....What is it?
gaz
I think its a downpipe for a race like system. Bit like the buddy club thing if i remember correctly.
StarletRick
its a centre section for an exhaust, and it looks good. nice long branch manifold, god for some torque
BenV
has it got a butterfly valve in it?
whitestarlet
i take it the n\a ep82 manifold bolted up differently than the old ep91 one i had?Vboi its a devider to send the exhaust gases from two cylinders down one side and the other two down the other side. better flow. if it was possible to measure that up you could get a better flowing manifold made up
Rich
Oooo thats über That might help my lowdown torque problem
Sparky
Sweet now wheres the nice 4 branch to go with it
Starletraje
wish i could speak Japanese, or the translator would work
rmsnoel
That looks, and I'm pretty sure that its a downpipe for a turbo. That would bolt to the CT9 cat a real treat. Dont think thats a butterfly, there no mechanism at all, how would you control it. I think its just a divider to let the gases away from the turbo abit quicker. It definateley a N/A starlet. StarletRick
that looks nothing like a turbo downpipe, because, it looks exactly like a centre section for an NA.
riko666
it's an N1 Exhaust Center Section, as Rick says...I think the Starlet's as standard have a 4-1 system, this would convert it to a 4-2-1 which has the effect of increasing low-mid range torque levels, and I presume get rid of the Catalytic convertor too
nic1.3
well if what ricko is saying is correct then this would be incredible to get hold of and replicate in a group buyalso would this bolt onto the oem exhaust mani?? and just require work on the centre section?i would definitely go for a manifold like this with low to mid torque gains instead of using a 5efe pacesetter manifold and and loose low end torque.ho0w bout it rick???? StarletRick
im no NA expert as ive only worked on the turbo variety of starlets. but from what ive seen it looks as if it would bolt to the stock manifold and do away with the cat. it looks like it'd fit nicely. but i wouldnt know for sure. i could probably get it here for less than 160 quid. Rich
Sounds like the sort of thing I need to improve my torque problem, but I just don't have 160odd quid to spend at the moment
