Si@Fiske Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Been waiting for this to turn up, and out of the blue, it did today ;)...over the moon Looks pretty good to me, so lets hope it is ....all i need now is the engine to be finished, some injectors, wheels and an ECU....Some pics:-Also working out the costs to run it round a track often worked out to be huge, some im going back to drag...the turbo aint small, but in the next couple of years it will be going bigger Si Quote
GAZ@A&G_TUNING Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 i think these mani's are mad, why is it that the wg pipe is soooo long on these thing's, is it a greddy one? Quote
montanajr Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 How the hell does that bad boy not crack ! lol Supporting the entire weight of the w/g...also that mesh has holes in it that are bigger than my head !! Gonna be an awesome bit of kit mate, enjoy ! !! Quote
Si@Fiske Posted June 13, 2008 Author Posted June 13, 2008 lol at the mesh...the holes are a little too big lol...so im undecided wheter to have a filter @ the front bumper, or get a thinner mesh...@ Gaz...its a SARD wastegate....night-spirit has the same mani, and has never had any prob's which is good Quote
keirz Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 get a filter on it mate. the mesh is actually more restrictive as lots of the intake is being covered by the metal on the mesh. so your actually limiting its intake size. Quote
scutch0 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 i agree buddy. keep a filter on it.look like a awesome bit of kit. cant wait to have a peek Quote
Si@Fiske Posted June 14, 2008 Author Posted June 14, 2008 indeed, i think i will go for a filter, and that mesh will let small children through let alone stones... Quote
NightSpirit Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 Yup, the V300 turbo setup is immense..I loves mine.Mine also had the mesh on there, seems to be the preferred choice of the FF dragger. Although, it's only pulling in hot air where it is Go for the front bumper filter like me, you know I make sense. And by the way, your carbon bonnet should be here soon, I think it's on a ship as we speak..or it better be...the shipping company are starting to piss me right off.Mark Quote
ecksjay Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 montana, the problem is, they do crack. its pretty much a direct mirror of the sard manifold, and all of them crack for fun just due to the silly design of it. it has to be there though due to space though, they're so bloody cramped, gotta go somewhere.my friends HKS GT3037S Pro kit on his s14 took quite a silly route also, had the car jacked up and the wg was about half an inch away from the gearbox, quite scary when you consider the movement in the engine and gearbox (didn't touch though surprisingly). Callan Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 get thinner mesh, that inlet looks very very small for a td05,aarons td05 hybrid dwarfs it by double lol...looks the same inlet size as a hybrid Ct9?any more pics of it? Quote
AntEP82 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 get thinner mesh, that inlet looks very very small for a td05,aarons td05 hybrid dwarfs it by double lol...looks the same inlet size as a hybrid?any more pics of it?tbats because his is a Hybrid derrr, of course its going to be bigger... Quote
StarletRick Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 it does surprise me where the wg ends up... they should just pop it over to the right under the rad hose. Quote
ecksjay Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 couldn't do that rick, the movement of the engine would chafe the rad hose, well, on yours it wouldnt ;dalso, cal, thats a bog standard td05 turbine (from an early evo or something). thats what they look like. you're comparing it to a modded one, like a greddy td05 etc, which it is ENTIRELY different to, hence the difference of the inlet size (thats the first obvious thing that they modify).the good thing about this kit is that he could probably replace the turbine for about 100quid, whereas a hybrid or greddy td05 would cost several hundred quid at least. StarletRick Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 its fine on mine, and my wastegate is about twice the size of that sard one. theres a ton of space there Quote
SiCaln Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 its pretty impressive tbh good luck with it nice Quote
RobSR Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 you havnt seen my wastegate....what is it a HKS 50mm Racing one?..yeah they aint small Quote
StarletRick Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 yeah the SS version. its about 3 or 4 inches round and about 10 inches long. its a monster Quote
