minxy
Hi, I've recently had someone hit my car and at the moment i am guessing that they will write mine off. I've been looking around and quite like the Glanza S's as it'll be silly money for me to insure a Glanza V with only a years no claims.Basically i was looking to see if anyone has any information about them. How hard it is to get parts for, for example, also if anyone had one and could chat to me?K x
Glanza Al
Damn Karen what happend?Isnt the Glanza S essentially the same as a V but an N/A? If they are Id imagine most Glanza V parts would fit them ;)
ste91
As far as I know, the Glanza S is the same as the V apart from the engine, which is a 4EFE. But in the Glanza S it has more power than the UK spec 4EFE's.Manifold/fuel injectors/ECU are different (there are more differences but those are the only ones I can think of at the moment), the Glanza S has around ~95bhp, I can't quite remember how much.Oh and the bonnet has a bulge instead of a scoop. Idrees
And the S has rear drums like the N/A as opposed to the brake discs on the V.
Glanza_cl
isnt a glanza s still an import so you will still stuggle with insurance?
Idrees
Well said^But it obviously won't be as much as the V. Worth getting a quote

It has standard body kits same as Glanza V Turbo except the scooped-hood and the engine did not have a Turbo. A lightweight version of the Glanza V was also released, this didn't have air con, electric windows etc to keep the car as light as possible, the idea being that it would make an ideal track day car.The Glanza V and Glanza S were not sold in Europe and were only available on the JDM Market.Sorry to hear the little accident Kaz, was u ok? ste91
I think that was either a mistake or it was meant for an older model.

minxy
Thanks Guys, you're brilliant . . . a full on starlet dictionary between you!! I'm all okay, bit of whiplash which the solicitors are claiming. Getting my hire car today so atleast i can get about, the bloke has admitted all liability so hopefully things will just run smoothly! - Finger X'sI'm looking at these rather than another sportif or an Sr simply because they are different and stand out from the crowd. It'll cost a fair bit to insure but i was paying a huge sum for my little N/A because of all the modifications on it whereas i'd TRY and keep an S as close to standard as poss. I've seen one for £2995 which i'm pretty sure i could battel down a bit. What sort of price would you all think i should be paying for an S? Also is it worth looking in to importing on as i had a look at cars yesterday an example was a Glanza V that was £2000 and some even less, i wondering how much it is to import one and how much registration cost etc are?! SiCaln
glad you're ok, the S is a lovely motor
