Just an update to those interested, im getting odd feedback from the brakes sometimes the pedal is spot on and others it feels spongy......going to try and overhaul the rear brakes (cylinders + shoes) and give it a good bleed thru with some 5.1 fluid the brake booster pipe seems worn so a replacement needs to be found it may help?

I may even change the front pads out, the EBC ultimax defo have a nice bite to them (after repeated hard stops i found little or no fade) but theres sooo much fucking brake dusts its unbelievable may throw some blueprint pads in there and see how they cope with my driving style

The rear suspension has settled in, its back breaking due to all the shocks having no rebound (there all fucked) but i can really throw it around now can`t wait to fit the fronts + alk then get him aligned should be a right little weapon then

Another 8k and hes done a total of 100k miles a few service items i`d like to address to mark the milestone, consisting of gearbox oil and aux belts

I wont be "modding" much now just enjoying him as im off to uni soon so wont have the time nor the money to give him attention over the coming year BUT i have a few surprises if all goes well, fingers crossed he doesnt let me down im going to be travelling alot further to the new uni now i was offended when someone mentioned i should get AA membership as to imply he was even the slightest bit unreliable B)

sounds good asad. im gona PM you soon about some springs, I think they will be just right for you.

did you notice the load sucking noise coming from the catch can when idling??

i fitted mine yesterday, its a steel one which might me amplifying the noise?

AA is a good idea, never know what can happen. best thing to do is join someone else's membership, costs less.

Earthing kit = Done finally!! a year later lol

This is what the hold up was, i couldnt find a seller who sold the ring terminals for a 2 gauge wire at a decent price for a 14mm bolt....all wired up and neat i didnt want to leave it out as its advised to have the last ground thicker than the rest incase they burn out

I was bored and to kill the fast, i started hacking away at the +ve side of wiring to see what the crack was and if there was anything i could do.......its really thin as you can see :p

It hit me!! i remembered i had a meter of red 2 gauge wire from when the company i ordered it off cocked-up....so i got got to work :D

im going to order longer wiring to do the alternator side when money allows.....and tidy up the fuse box

cheers buddy, everyone should consider doing this when the engines out etc...its unreal how thin the wire actually is. Ive realised its not good enough to just sort the earthing out now hopefully the rest of it is straight forward should be charging better now if only i knew where the other wire to the battery went

Well guys i dont know what to say.....just been out for a drive and the unevatable happened....it just started making shit loads of noise and there was steam everywhere temp gauge was normal no warning lights no nothing...opened the bonnet to find this

It happened during the last two weeks of uni, me and a friend went out to get something to eat....came round a corner and out of no where this little kid starts running out i thought he`d stop or atleast go halfway and wait there...he carried on running leaving my no choice but to swerve i mounted a brick wall took a out a wrough iron wall fence (proper heavy duty mofo) and narrowly missed a occupied house..:)

the doped up kid fell over when he got to the other side :p ....no one was hurt bar a few bruises

Been putting it off posting it up on here really, well and truely gutted i put blood sweat and tears in to it for the last three years...do a few more mods...track it at japfest enjoy it and move on to a V next year....instead this happens :)
