daz gt turbz Posted November 13, 2010 Author Share Posted November 13, 2010 right got a few more bits on today, the rest of the roose hoses are on.then i butchered one of my old radiator hoses to make a red hose for my bov, worked a treat ;) as it all looks nownext thing was the new fuel pump from TD, thought id get this in as im off to a rolling road day next sat so i can see what the cars putting out before the TD04 goes on, was at 163.6bhp last time. followed the guide off tgtt but mine looked nothing like the guys so just winged it.the bolts holding one of the fuel line on were facking tight and one off the rounded off on 2 corners, but managed to get the mole grips on and off it came.old unitnew unitall back in and working spot on, hardly any wine like ive heard about the walbro ones, until i turned the sterio on and because my 6" x 9" sit over the pump they are getting mahosive feed back from it so give out a loud wine,lol, so will have to have a look at it tomorrow and see if i can fetle something.and last off all started work on a new rocker cover, totally smoothed it today with the grinder, and going to get the orbitle sander on it tomoz and work my way through the grit range to get it totally smooth ready for paint. daz gt turbz Posted November 20, 2010 Author Share Posted November 20, 2010 had the car on the rolling road today, managed 160.8bhp in 4th at .8 bar, which is less than the last even though ive done the odd bits to it, but steve said it will probly be because it was running very lean on boost probly because of the new fuel pump and no proper management which held back about 10bhp, also the last one was run in 3rd gear. anyways im not overly fussed it was just so i could get a bhp figure befoe i put the td04 on and then ill see exactly what increase i get. will get pics up soon, also got a vid to put up. daz gt turbz Posted December 11, 2010 Author Share Posted December 11, 2010 right lads, got some 20mm wheel spacers so got on with it today, looks alot better with them on now the wheels sit spot on and arnt sunn in the arches anymore BUT what a ball buster! getting them on was easy enuf but getting them not to rub was never ending! wheel on, wheel off, jacked up, jack down, coilovers up, coilovers down, arch roll here, arch roll there . . . . . and so on!! think there ok now though filled it with fuel so theres max weight and it only just catches on dodgy angles. heres a few pics, went dark so a few of the last ones are pants but will get some full car ones tomorrow at the manchester meet.. each foto is a before and after shot.front beforefront afterrearrear afterwide boylike i said pretty pants pics but will get full car 1s in the light tomorrow!daz Quote Link to post Share on other sites
