just had a phonecall from the garage

external wastegate fouls the civic rad :/

hes gonna move the bottom rad outlet to the other side. far too much money on this car.....

he manged to move the rad bracket and make it fit

its all back together, but is blowing, sounds liek a tractor and boosts really late

is going back in Tuesday.

any idea were its blowing from? get out the spanner and sort it urself

not sure entirely. think it could be from mani to turbo, but not 100%

the garage use new gaskets? if so which 1s did they use?

get some genuine toyota 1's and do it yourself mate

i gave him new toyota gaskets, but he said the old one was fine, so he just used gasket sealant.

its going back Tuesday and ive told him i want him to change the gaskets no matter what.

but i think ive found the leak. if i put my hand in front of the screamer. its venting. even on idle.

so i think its a problem with the external wastegate.

they should have used the new 1s if you bought them to be used

ahh right, not to sure about turbo's lol

the side port goes the to vacuum nipple on the turbo

and the top port goes to atmos. so that is correct.

just need to take the wastegate off and check the flanges etc are in tight.

car is in the garage atm, and he has confirmed it is blowing from the screamer pipe.

he said worst case scenario he will make a blanking plate to go over the screamer pipe hose, then ill go back to the actuator until i can get a new wastegate

Exhaust is fixed

and i think i have somebody coming to look at it this weekend.

I think hes going offer me about 3800 without the 37s. then ill sell them on here.

does that sound like a good price?
