Bean
ive been using the k&n ones i like that they have the nut on the end of them so you just put a spanner on them and they come off nice and easy. im sure they do a decent job too.

Starlet__SR
I use genuine Toyota, or Bosch ones. I change oil every 3k anyway so makes no difference lolD

Raz
How are HKS oil Filters? Any good or are you just paying for the name?
DavidAshton
HKS filters dont fit the standard Starlet filter cup wrench so I never even fitted mine! They look good and come with little sticker you write the mileage on and stick on the filter, but they dont fit so there useless! Raz
The Wrench doesn't fit? But the oil filter fits fine yes?

DavidAshton
The Wrench doesn't fit? But the oil filter fits fine yes?Dunno, couldnt try it on the car because the cup wrech didnt fit!
The Toffinator
So it would go on? Filters are only supposed to be handtight anyway so why couldnt you fit it lol
DavidAshton
I dunno if it would go on, i never tried because the filter cup didn't fit. I always do my filters hand tight then 3/4 with the cup wrench, sure it says that on side of OEM Toyota filters.Ive still got it if someone wants to buy it off me. akyakapotter
by hand all the way the last cowboy to change my filter done it so tight i have to destroy it to get it off not a fun task
shorty
well im a snob and only the best will do lol so i use TRD ones at around £30 a throw and change the oil every 3k, but that said its an uprated filter system and also has a magnet in. an oil filter is just as important as any other aspect of an engine in my book so i like to have it filtered as best as i can
Dan507
FUCK that Tom. Blue print ones. Three pound something including VAT and there OE Quality.ADT32109
shorty
lol i know its not to every ones taste, but imo the oil wich is circulating around my rather expensive forged engine should be as clean as possable at all times, and as my engine is far from oem specs im more than happy to spend £30 on a filter every oil change. i drive a van daily so the 3k miles takes around 3-6months to clock up
Raz
i was thinking of getting a HKS one, Can you link me up to the TRD Filter?
