What do you think are you best mods so far? the whiteline parts sounds really good. Thanks mate!Best mods is hard to say, if you talking about handling, yeah the whiteline rear ARB is the single most effective handling upgrade.I made some "URBAN" pictures for a lil dutch picture contest: Quote
Sparky Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 The paint work is truely amazing on yours kevin....you must really clean it ;) Tell me your secrets Quote
kevink Posted May 22, 2008 Author Posted May 22, 2008 Meguiar's FTW! To be honest i didn't wash it in 3 weeks... ;) and up close it is dusty and dirty.. It's the real dirt that you don't get off with just a sponge that really makes a difference in shine, Meg's got some great stuff that REALLY cleans the car. And it stays clean way longer cause you clean the surface completely before applying the wax. That way the wax stays on much longer and dirt doesn't stick to the car.Anyway i must say you car looks mighty clean to lots of times! Quote
Sparky Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 2 bucket method for me and a polish if its nice out ;)You using the Megs next gen 3 step kit?? Quote
kevink Posted May 22, 2008 Author Posted May 22, 2008 when i do a full Meg's cleaning it's:Spray it downClean wheels with Meg's wheel cleaner and Megs soft wheel brushwash car with 2 bucket method with NXT car shampoo and a Meg's Washmitt.Clean windows with Meg's Window cleaner.dry with Meg's drying towel.Remove surface blemishes further with Meg's Clay kit (this makes a HUGE difference!)(Only do this 3 times a year)Use Scratch X on the spots where neededUse Meg's polish to "feed" the paint. (gives deeper shine)Apply Megs NXT Wax and let it set for an hour or 2.Apply Meg's Tire Shine on the ... duh.. tyres Buff it up completly by removing the left over wax.after thart the day is over ;) Quote

Galliano Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 one ambition in my life is to own a red car (something tatty) and drive it for one whole year without cleaning it... then wash it for the first time in said year, using full polish and everthing just to see how good i can get it Quote
kevink Posted November 15, 2008 Author Posted November 15, 2008 ok guys time for an update, i got the shortshifter in like lots of other people and it is a huge upgrade, thanks Rick!!further i got adjustable TRD inserts, was a right nightmare getting these fitted.but they are awesome!!!! 4front and 8 rear ONCAR adjustable, and they are brand spanking new out of the box!!of soft these babies are almost as soft as original and on the max they are rock-hard! really big difference!I heard some negative stories bout them on this forum, about them being very very stiff and all, i asked the guy i bought them from and he said if you turn the adjusting switch from 8 to 1, instead of from 8 to 7 to 6 etc till 1, you will break the mechanisme and they will lock on 8 explaining the complaints about these shocks. it is a long story and cant be bothered to write things at the moment...Short story is 1. i had to get original EP71 frontshocks cause they had a screwcap type of holding method for the original inserts.2. the original screwcaps did NOT fit with the TRD inserts. so i had to source others.3. the topmounts of a P9 did not fit cause the rod on a TRD insert is thicker than the original so i had to source EP71 topmounts.4. the EP71 topmounts holes didi not line up with the holes in the chassis so i had to widen the holes. here is a long photo-story.Brand new!!EP71 shocks..the screwcap thingiesstarting the refurbbeforeafterbasecoattoyota baby primerohh my god!! the original screwcaps do not fit...original screwcap right and new left!TRD yellow!!lets get those babies mounted!!ohh my god!! need to open up front holes for the ep71 topmounts..rear fitted! (check out the dirty whiteline adjustable swaybar & adjustable panhard rod)front no pics yet...thats it for now, and GOD WHAT DO THEY MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! Quote
