nest Posted September 13, 2012 Author Share Posted September 13, 2012 nice project there mate ;)thanks Keith ;)well finally had a day off today after a good two moonths!! so natrually did some work on the starlet, started the day off with removing rear bumper which left this, seen better daysso with bumper off did some messuring appllied some tapethen got a holesaw on it which left this, should stop the bumper acting like a parashoot at high speed, alot off drag boys do it, so figured since ill be using it track and looking at doing a few runs down the strip why not, can only help.with the bumper off and reveling the sorry stat off all the chassis i cleaned it all down, gave it lick off paint, including rear archeslooking much betterbumper back onlooking sweeeetall plastics back on now aswellso much cleanerwacked my glow panel on aswellpretty happy with the result rear is looking pretty sweet nowalso had my bride bucket reupholsted, looks don now10.8mm ht leads and indigo dial from james also comedidnt get a piccy off the dials, that all for the day, need to take some more time off! next update will be a big one... nest Posted October 10, 2012 Author Share Posted October 10, 2012 (edited) well today the delivery man came and delivered 2 very full boxes that came all the way from malta!!inside the boxes was my custom turbo kit from zisco which me and keith discussed at lenght cant recommend these guys enough especially keith top service and amazing knowledge. thanks boys!!custom full stainless 2.75 exhaust single midbox no back box, crap pic unfortunatly, will be fully heat wrapped.custom down pipe and screamer, down pipe has a smoother and longer bend which makes it bolt to exhaust further on.turbo smart 38mm wastegateintercooler and pipeworkexternally gated cruise style mani, will be getting in and out ceramic coated in a few weeks over at zirotecand finally my custom garret turbo but the specs a secret, for now anyways ;) Edited October 10, 2012 by nest Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Small update, decided to strip my forged lump down, figured while its out needs to be refreshed ! So going in for the whole bottom end balanced, acl bearings, and gonna spec up the head abit more, once cage is ordered should be within the next few weeks once my bloody old boss pays me!! Ill strip the engine and get that sorted and sent off for balancing and during that should have time to weld the cage in!! Sounds straight forward usually isn't !! nest Posted November 15, 2012 Author Share Posted November 15, 2012 soo today, stripped my forged engine down as im giving it a good going over and specing it up some more,bare engine on stand, cams already out.Head offall looking abit worse for wear :|then piston and rods outthen crank outbearings seen better daysbare blockalso stripped my old fuel tank out, as ill be running a fuel cell in the wheel well, along with out off tank pump and in-line fuel filter.the old tank looked shit, it was battered and rusted to f**kunderside is looking pretty shit too, once I've welded my cage in this will be getting cleaned up and completly undersealedalso found this gem in the fuel tank!thats it for now, more soon!
