There's no point upgrading the turbo without fitting bigger stoppers

Picked up rebuilt Celica ST162 calipers from Russ (legend) which have a larger piston and pad diameter not to mention alot thicker disc for better heat dissipation

New drilled and grooved discs on the way at the minute to finish off the new conversion..and a comparison against the stock brakes (pictures dont do it justice theyre a brave bit bigger!)

No progress the last while but I did get the Starlet along to its first rolling road session a few weeks back at Autotune N.I.

Made 176.6 bhp @ 6403 rpm, 155 hp at the wheels

And the torque measured 153.4 lb-ft / 208 Nm

I predicted 165 bhp so safe to say im a happy man for the time being

Tbh id be pretty happy. 155hp atw, would probably be more like 185hp fly. 20hp transmission loss is probably a bit to little. And since they measure from the wheel then convert to fly, the wheel figure is the genuine reading.

So good work dude

ts running 12psi daily and at the dyno Mike. I dont wanna push the turbo too hard as I've a td04 set up to go on shortly but I wanted a figure for the current setup.

There's no chance a ct9b would make that much power at a bar man this isnt a hybrid one unfortunately.

The car feels completely different with the new ratios in it and it pulls like a train now I was well impressed with the liveliness of it in every gear. The addition of the Toda flywheel to help it rev easier only helps with the acceleration when combined with these close ratios.
