Roachy1994
i am just wondering what is the maximum power you can get out of a ct9 turbo if i run emanage ? thanks
daniel_g
Around the 200 bhp has been done before.
Roachy1994
okey cheers i am just thinking whether its worth paying 200 on a manifold that is going to be changed soon anyways :L
starletburkie
cant see how people get 200 out of the small ct9 but the figures are there to prove! 170 - 180 is average imo
Socks
180-200bhp1-1.2bar
daniel_g
Yeah, cant imagine it would last very long at 200 bhp, youd prob be boosting 1.1 / 1.2 bar to see that ? More realistic figure 170 / 180 bhp at 1 bar of boost. Lots of variables to take into consideration, so try and see. On the manifold front mate, decent used ct9 wepr, racetech etc. can be bought for around 100 or so quid, and you'll not loose much when you sell it. Just make sure you use a braced decat too.LOL, i'm way too slow. Answers there ^ haha.
Roachy1994
i got a 189 bhp printout for my car atm it got front mount fcd decat but it hasnt got a bracket a rubbish manifold that i think is the problem why my head crack blitz dump valve and im only boosting 0.9 bar
Roachy1994
ive been looking if its worth spending the money you see to get a zisco manifold because my head cracked and people been saying its the manifold but you do you think it could be my decat aswel the because it hasnt got a brace?
daniel_g
Yes, it is recommended to have a braced decat, otherwise its a lot of weight just hanging off the head.
Roachy1994
yeahh i get it im really confused at the moment on wether to spend to the money on the decat and manifold or keep my car off the road an extra month and go td04:/
Amjad
If you're gonna buy a new kit etc then TD04 without question, you'll probably regret spending a load more money on a new CT9 setup and then get bored

MARC MOSS
Yes, it is recommended to have a braced decat, otherwise its a lot of weight just hanging off the head. That only applies to shit decats dude

I preferred my tongs about town I ran it at 1.2 bar for years and it was so quick off of the mark in comparison to the td04 I used. Just before I sold my Gt I put the old ct9b on and ran it at 1.0bar and it was plenty quick for a giggle

Roachy1994
yeah thats what i dont want to do is spend all the money on ct9 and not gain much power so i think i might just have to wait abit and go td04
Dollar
I've heard 180bhp is as far as you can go and still have some reliability. Hybrid CT9's claim 230+ but as far as I can see they are usually out of their efficiency range by around 190-195bhp, depending on the make. I saw a guy claiming 220bhp on Gumtree with his stock CT9, think he had an exhaust and an intercooler. 220bhp? Me thinks not.
Roachy1994
Yeah you do see alot off bullshitters on ebay etc:L you see no end of cars that are claimed about 100 bhp more than they actually are:L
Bean
im sure a reconditioned or pretty new ct9 has made just over 200bhp before. cant remember whos it was though.
loz180691
I'm on a ct9 at one bar made 210bhp at tuning developments when they mapped it

templar2007
I seen in someone build theat there other day they got about 210 if not more from a ct9
smobey_sutton2
I made 214.8bhp at 1.0 bar on CT9 at Tuning Developments on EManage Blue. Although they did suspect that the CT9 had been rebuilt in the past with a bigger turbine allowing it to flow more air.
