Exciting! However the joint venture bit puts me off. It's gonna be the same situation with the GT86 platform, where they're basically the same car and in my mind it'd limit what they do with the car being imaginative or different.

I know what your saying it will share with the new Z4 but heres a quote which kinda makes me a little more confident bmw wont ruin it :)

"While the platform will be a Toyota design, BMW will work on the suspension and fine-tuning of the handling."

MK4 supra was awesome, still want one.

The prototype designs are always a bit 'jumped up' so hopefully it wont look to bad when its finished.

Any engine, turbo news yet ? (not looked in links yet)

Yeah i thought that but i think toyotas all about bringing back there sports element back to the brand and in all fairness the standard starlet is far from sporty shame though :(

Another speculation, definateley an MR2?

Why would they when a Celica could sit below the GT86 in the price line up, be cheap to produce in FWD form and correct me if im wrong, the last one sold a lot more than the MR2.

Same kinda thing with Toyota and Subaru though, where the engine is Subaru. Both cars are pretty tame when it comes to performance, would be a shame if the same thing happens with the Supra
