DE-CAT and emissions testing-MOT

Completely new to starlets so bare with me.

If a Glanza V has a decatted system will it pass an MOT? I've done some googling and read about imports not requiring emissions testing etc. Also searched the threads and haven't found a decisive answer.

glanza's do gt's don't is the simple answer theres a bit more to it but that's the long and short of it buddy

anything pre 95 don't need a cat if imported

All depends what the mot tester is like glanzas came with a cat so should get a basic emissions test and be failed if the cat is not there again it all depends what your tester is like

Then theres the old chesnut of saying it had an egnine swap to a pre-95 GT engine

Any import car where the engine was never sold to the UK market, cannot have a full uk emissions test as its never going to pass. So glanzas and Gts don't need cats. They can only have a basic emissions test which aslong as your car runs okay it will pass a piece of piss. If its being tested as a UK 4efe then it will normally fail due to different emission tolerances. And if the Mot tester is doing that, than he's doing it wrong.

Has anyone ever figured out how to get a 5EFTE through an emissions test? As in one that has been registered with the DVLA as an engine swap (obviously if it wasn't declared, they'd do a basic test without knowing)
