Lew91
Just been out to remove the cusco rear strut brace off the V as I want to sell it on and get an OEM 3 point one and some dopey arse must of welded it the 2 ends! I removed the centre bar to make life easier, whent to pull off the ends and nothing. Tried a lever bar still nothing, looked a bit closer and there's blue paint around the bracket (top of the strut) which leads me to believe its been welded in. Is it me or are they just a tight fit? I can see this leading to me getting the grinder out
pick1
There not normally that hard to get off dude
Lew91
I've just been hanging off of it and nothing, I think it's firmly on there.
funny onion
Sam has a cusco rear strut on his and its a bastard to get on and off because the back end of his is bent as a nine bob note. But a hammer and lever bar usually does the job without too much grief.
Lew91
I shall have to give it a go tomorrow, bloody 10 minute job turns into a pain in the arse!
Addymk2
Flexier than wet spaghetti them things, hence why it's bent lol just be careful when you yoink it off you don't take half the threads of your turret mate.

davehart
I've never known anyone to weld their strut brace on before. Maybe he lost the bolts
Lew91
I can't see it, the washers are stuck to the paint so looks like he put the washers and nuts on whilst the paint was wet.
