griffo20022
Last night I ordered up some 40mm lowering springs to get it down a little more tried one of the enkeis on yhe back to see how they fitThey look awesome! Arch lips might need a roll once its lowered mind! Also had to order some new nuts in order for the center covers to fit on. Afterwards we took him for a quick clean as you can see it was filthy when trying the wheel on!Much better! Also while the rear wheels were off we painted the red "Powrrdrumz" black so they didnt stand out lol! Also fitted a fresh set of spark plugs
Starlet_15
Awesome little car dude it's coming along really well.If your lowering it would you consider selling the original sr springs???

griffo20022
Hey guys bit of an hupdate! Last weekend we got Jess's car a little lower to the ground! Spent Friday night with a couple friends in my friends garage. All went well only thing noticing was I need to replace one of the front shocks in future as i've noticed it's weeping but we'll get that sorted! It feels better I wasn't sure because the TTE springs apparently are a 20mm drop so wether the 40mm springs were going to drop a further 20mm than it already was or go 40mm over the TTE I think from the looks of it it's gone 20mm lower which tbh I think suits it well and keeps it practical enough for Jess to drive comfortably overall definately pleased! Before I post pics be warned the car (aswell as mine) is in dire need for a wash haha! It seems to have settled a touch lower since the pics but either way you get the jist I think the Enkeis will sit real well at that height! Hopefully they'll miss the arches! If not time for some arch rolly polly! Also earlier in the week Jess spotted a Glanza boot on Ebay already in 205 black! It was also fairly local! So we drove to the middle of nowhere on a rally stage in my EF to a remote farm with a unit where a poor glanza was being broke! However we gave the bootlid a new lease of life It's in cracking nick being recently resprayed and has also been de-badged and de-locked for a smoother look! Also in preperation I ordered a 13x7 rear and 12x6 front set of number plates Today with the help of my dad we got the new bootlid into place! Also transfered the de-wiper bung so all that needs doing now is the rewire for the new reverse lights and middle brake light and get the new screen tinted which I think Jess is going to do tomorrow (Don't worry the new plates on now too so it's not being driven around with plates from a scrapped car lol ;) Also stickers have been removed!) Next up is a good clean! Also need to finish cleaning up the Enkeis ready to go on Also front splitter will be on the cards!
Starlet-Joshy
Cant wait to see the enkei's fitted!!!!!! Also needs a glanza rear bumper and sideskirts! , that would look sweet!! Nice updates !!

griffo20022
Hey there guys long time no update! Not long after the last update we fitted the wheels and unfortunately Jess had her first bump A smashed headlight dented bonnet, bent wing and cracked bumper. Luckily all superficial stuff and a week later the front end was back in one peice albeit with badly painted wing and bumper just to get her by! While we were away this week the Starlet went in for paint and yesterday we picked him up with freshly sprayed wing and bumper and also had a Laguna lip I had spare fitted. It finishes the front end off nicely! Just need to get a new headlight motor for the headlamp wire in the glanza reverse lights and get a few little jobs sorted ready for MOT in August Edited June 29, 2014 by griffo20022
griffo20022
A friend of ours bought a mop setup today and so we thought we'd give it a go on the Starlet! In a nutshell, I NEED to get me a mop! Jess getting stuck in with the mop et voila! We didn't get chance to wax it tonight but even with just a quick polish the clarity and depth of the paint is excellent! A good wax will make stand out more so! Theres a couple scrathes we were hoping would buff out which have dulled down but not gone completely, i'm guessing a touch ups going to be needed, regardless it looks bang on now Very pleased! griffo20022
That looks superb mate! Thanks dude! The mops worked wonders on the paint! Jess took it to Cars In The Park with our Slambox team today we gave it another wash over last night and a good wax to seal in the clean paintwork. The paint pops like mad in the sun it really did look cool today! Had a bit of rain and grabbed a couple pics of it with the rain beading off the paint Next up is sorting the boot reverse lights, few jobs for MOT and a new steering wheel me thinks! griffo20022
Thanks guys it's getting there! On about the wheels I have finally (today funnily enough) identified them! A friend of mine gave me a link to a catalog of oldskool jap wheels, I had a search but to no avail. So I though f*ck it and messages Enkei directly on Facebook. To my surprise they messaged me back after a couple hours! Apparently they're (according to Enkei themselves) an obscure wheel found in their 1991 catalog called M38S's. I was really chuffed the reply and have asked see if they have any scans of the catalog to send me so hopefully they can come up with something In other news although no pictures just yet finally fitted our UKSO stickers on the car! Jess has also found a steering wheel she really wants but watch this space ATM lol! Edited July 8, 2014 by griffo20022
griffo20022
So this landed today! Also ordered a boss up which arrived Saturday, for an ebay special I was very surprised at how decent the quality of the boss was! Well machined with a decent connector for the horn and came with appropriate contact ring and a nice Toyota horn button too! A Momo button came with the wheel too but me and Jess both agreed on the simpler toyota button to go in place So tonight we cracked on and got the wheels swapped over. I just need to sort a horn brush for the slip ring and an SRS bypass setup for the airbag light And a quick pic repping the UKSO flag:) Edited July 21, 2014 by griffo20022
