Phil
Looking back this was ambitious lolNext summer here we come.Phil talking of aiming for the summer.... these two fellas came round last night bottom end weighed and balanced as best we could. quick dump on the garage floor. bottom end coming together. quick seat for a rest rings gapped etc etc pistons in headgasket Headbolts (plus the usual upside down, is the head going to fall off check.) Not much to do now. new oil pump to arrive tomorrow.ancilleries all back in placecam gears over on to billetsreshim headtime everything up.then quick spin to find the car i left somewhere and marry engine to car once again. then dry the car out, and get her going once more. (if at any point during my build i suggest that i will be doing something please insert the name Chris William or Jay. im a man of ideas and plans and things. bar the head, i rebuilt that myself.) Phil
yeah guess so.best of luck with it all. :-D cheers, yeah should maybe have explained, AFRs where in the 11s but with a wideband even using two(as we were) its doesnt help you if an injectors is running light. so we likely had 3 cyclinders at 10.0AFR and one mega lean, leaving us a running engine with 11s in AFR that was about to go/blow Phil

Calum122
Oh yeah, I don't expect anyone to own a garage like that for personal use. Just the garages I go to don't have anything as fancy as that!

Phil
Well its been a while and how much better is an iphone 5 camera than an iphone 4!!!! heres the old snap not long after it started into the car over in Chris' shed. and now 2 years later (minus a week) Had entered a sprint 2weeks ago and blew a box testing the night before. now entered for tomorrow and despite a break down on wednesday evening and tow thursday morning, - it lives once again. so all being well - saturday morning will allow me to get some practice and then hopefully for June i can get the car refined abit better. Phil
Well it was cloudy but dry as we waited on scrutineering Picked a spot in the pits – zero entourage just a few tools in the boot! The black legacy is a monster of a car was a pleasure to get another wee nosey around it. Slowly but surely the sun came out and after first practice things really started to warm up 2nd practice could have been called good weather which was nice after the last few sprints had been damp/wet And by the time the timed runs began we were feeling some serious sun, really lovely day! And a quick video of the car (no incar this time ) and boost by gear really helped with grip/wheelspin SEE POST BELOW Anyhow it was very tight with the v8 rover/lotus elise/Porsche 944 turbo and the starlet very tight on times in practice and 1st run, But I managed to take a couple of seconds out of them on the 2nd run – then start of 3rd run I was out of brake pads (used them all last season and hadn’t brought any spares (idiot!)) The Porsche went on to pip me by 0.3/0.4 of a sec in the end , all in all a great day out. Finally the spoils Phil Edited March 21, 2016 by Phil
