smb2011 Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I have the organic uprated clutch been in the car since I have brought it and the peddle is really hard anyone have this problem? Quote
daniel_g Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Are you sure its just an organic exedy ? Might be a paddle, they have a solid pedal feel. Quote
Liam_D Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 As said you sure its not a paddle? paddles are renowned for being quite stiff. Quote
ROTABOOST Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Organic should feel the same as a standard clutch so it's either a paddle as above or the clutch cover is toss Quote
smb2011 Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 100% not a paddle one its a soild round disc I had it out 4 months back to change the gearbox been the same feel since I have had it Quote
A L 3 X Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 My Excedy organic was exactly the same mate, well not rock solid, but quite heavy, they put the same pressure plates in as with the paddles so therefore uprated springs in! Quote
ryan lang Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Do you skip leg day? Aha z the paddle clutch I had was mint didn't feel any heavier than a standard one Quote
smb2011 Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 Does anyone know what them spec 6 puck clutches are like Quote
Banbury Glanza Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I have a 6 puk and it's brilliant mate, heavy but you soon get used to it lol. Can be a pain in stop start traffic but worth it Quote
Jamie1st Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 It will be a stinger pressure plate than standard. Paddle has nothing to do sign how heavy the clutch is, it's all in the pressure plate. Weaker ones have 2 straps, most up rated have 3 straps, so essentially 50 % stronger. I put a 2 strap in once, was fine but couldn't handle my double clutching and bent Quote
