EPnick22
Been looking into them, anything people would like to share regarding experiences? cheeerss
Gainzy
I reckon the the triangle shaped brace is the one to go for it's lighter than it looks and I felt a difference between just a normal cross over, they can fetch up to £100 though whilst the cusco's are bit cheaper. Ryan_EP82 GT
Theyre good for tightening up the back end, could do with a bigger anti roll bar too..
Gainzy
My mate had the whiteline they seem to work loose and knock I would say buy an adjustable panhard rod first a JDM one adjusts the back end stiffness alot Edited February 26, 2014 by Gainzy
AdamB
Strut braces are just for show. They are no use on a monocoque chassis unless they are the size of an I beam girder.
EPnick22
Im not talking about an anti roll bar dude this is asking for a top strut brace, ive already got a whiteline panhard rod and rear anti roll bar Edited February 26, 2014 by EPnick22
Amjad
It would help, I've certainly noticed a difference in both my EPs with one fitted
Gainzy
If they didn't do something Toyota wouldn't of made the optional extra for show....
corofin12345
strut braces in starlets are just for show?????? thats like saying a roll cage in rally cars are just there to hang flower pots from as amjad said, i also definitely noticed a difference when i fitted my OEM rear 3 point strut brace.. Dan Barnes
Ive used the zisco 6 point brace in both my GT and Glanza and I can notice the difference..

That's different, its welded to the chassis therefore it becomes an integral part and chassis flex is transferred to the roll cage. A strut brace is just a bolted joint and therefore has a moment about the bolt rather than the chassis.
Turbo Goose
90% of people reading think, "Whats a moment" lol

If something is attatched to something it becomes part of a structure that provides extra support some way or another...I would buy the 3 point optional extra strut bet you feel the difference

Turk
Ive driven with and without. And i cant say theres much difference. Id rather splash the more else where like RARB. or coilovers.

Breno58
The 3 point rear brace is definitely worth investing in, i noticed the difference straight away once i fitted mine
Turbo Goose
I thought it may have been psychological and it made no difference at all but I really did think it made a big difference. Then my mate sat in the back pf my car and asked if I had done anything because the back end feels different. This was without tellin him beforehand I had done it.I say it makes a very noticeable difference from my experience
mikey4410
roll cages and strut braces make a big difference and work extremely well with stiffer suspension. always worth getting one and they do make a difference no matter what anybody says.
Matt1878
I noticed a difference to the way the rear of the car reacted when I had the OEM 3 Point brace...
richardc9052
never had a rear brace but in the front it allowed my car to actually go around a roundabout in the wet vs under-steering across lanes
AdamB
Goes to show how poor the starlet chassis is in torsional ridgity then doesn't it I never noticed any difference when I took the strut brace off my GT.
jayc-glanza17
Rear anti roll bar, before a rear strut nick.Like i told you last night you will notice the rear roll bar a lot more then a rear strut.. Such a bigger difference then a strut brace.Strut does help, but rear anti roll bar jus imo is a bigger must and the difference is more noticeable.
