Nah don't think so... These came with eg33's... 3.3 N/A

What do you mean the new or old ones? The new ones come with some sort of resin to glue them together

Had a nightmare with the CV boots this weekend after purchasing them from Toyota with the chassis number they still turned out to be wrong, no surprise there! After a lot of phone calls to and from the dealer we concluded the the inner ones are no longer available 😡 much to my disappointment as id already started to fit them! Rather than wasting £50 odd for them I though of a solution, the cut outs in the cup were the issue so I attempted to fill those and continue fitting the new boots

This is the one I tried to repair previously as it had completely split and covered my bay in grease!

Here's the solution we come up with to try and get round it... Opinions/Solutions/Criticism welcome...

Using a plastic bottle I made a circle shape to contain the abro steel while I was working it in. I chose to use this as I've had good experiences with it before and I'm able to remove it if it doesn't work out.

Once they've fully harden I'll clean up the excess, file the inner edge completely smooth and cut 2 small groves in them so they boot will fit properly. Fingers crossed!

Got my rear lights fitted though 😊

Ha ha it's like any project I guess you just keep finding more things you want to do. If I had a spare 5k I think I could blow it on the car in a couple of days easily. Not surprised you lose a bit of drive now and again as it seems like you've had a few obstacles a long the way. Are you going to be the first person on here to try the longer final gear mod?

Yeh you've got that right, like any project there never 'finished' lol I'm sure we all could jase, if only 😛 Yeh it's so close to being road worthy now, I need to pull my finger out! That the long term plan yes, hopefully in a couple of years I'll completely change the drivetrain, IRS subframe and different gear ratios

Also got a O/S headlight as my last one got burnt in a small garage fire 😢

It's in pretty good condition as it is but I'm just waiting for marco to polish it for me 😂

Here's the remains of the burnt one... I was looking for the other headlight for about 20 minutes while my dad was grinding away in the garage... Then I come back in to find a pretty big fire and the headlight I had found melted into the orange box 😕 And as you can guess I found the other headlight about 10 seconds after we put the fire out😡

So what do you do when you've got an unfinished project... Buy another one :p I recently purchased a Glanza with low compression. After a strip down it was clear to see what was at fault! Time to rebuild the head :)

I finally got round to mounting the Pas pump this weekend and making the lines from the rack. This gave me a chance to offer up the wings and bumper finally :D

609C4929-2461-4910-ACE7-64E942FD8B7E_zps

Nothing's bolted up properly hence the gaps and bumper is a little misshaped due to be sat in my bedroom for 2 years and never being fitted! All will be good once bolted on though!

Should look spot on once the skirts are fitted and the cars lowered some more! Power fold mirrors fitted too.

Also managed to remove the EMB and repair the loom in readiness so I can use the powerfc to start the car and know it's all okay before I change over to the link ECU.

Wiring for the Oil pressure & temperature gauge run into the cabin ready to be fitted once the dash is back in.

I'm hoping to get the fuses and distribution box sorted in the next couple of weeks so the battery can be mounted in the boot and once the oil return is fitted she should be ready to fire up!!

Still lots to be fitted though!

Thanks guys

Currently trying to figure out who to map the link ecu, it will most likely end up at race-tech to be fitted, run in and mapped hopefully within the next 6 weeks Just waiting on some parts to get the battery wired up in the boot properly. Still need to sort the oil return before I can fire it up though

I tackled the never ending job of the power steering pump this weekend... I sure hope it works faultlessly when it's up and running after all the time and effort that's been put into it! Wiring now complete with a heavy duty multi plug installed, just need to get some high pressure hose to run to and from the rack and job done!

I managed to get all the small annoying jobs done... Clipping the loom into place around the headlights and wings. Installed the pressure sender and sensor for the oil gauges.

Mate they were significant updates! It's always the little things that take ages. Bet you can't wait to actually have it back on the road. Oh by the way, do you have the plastic adjuster cog for the 98 spec seats?

Yeh mate you've got that right! Hopefully things can start moving forward a lot quicker now :) You don't understand, it's been about 18 months now :/ Yeh sorry buddy I'll drop you a text later!

Damn that car is sweet, good work :)

By the way, turbo return hose rubber? If is, it won't last long, be carefull, huge fire risk...

Thanks mate! Yes it is a rubber hose, just a temporary fix so I can get it running, I'll be getting a silicone one soon :) ... That'll be the last thing I need!
