Thought it'd be best to tidy up the loom so I began to strip back the old tape, remove any surplus connectors & harnesses and re-tape. Also sprayed the middle part of the fuse box to get rid of the yellow. It proved to be more time consuming than I imagined so I didn't manage to get it finished today.

It's been a good day today, I managed to complete everything I wanted before it got dark.

Removed the rusty old brake Union and cleaned it up.

Unfortunately the ram on my granddads crane gave way after just 30 years haha. So I had to use a rather sketchy way with a trolley jack to get it into the air high enough to get the engine under

Small amount of updates this weekend...

Connected most of the loom up but yet to tidy it all up and clip it in place.

I got the air filter mounted properly, fitted the intercooler pipes looses for now as I'll be replacing the blue joiners for black one... Also wouldn't mind black rad hoses instead of purple if anyone fancies a swap?

Placed the front bumper on too before it goes off for painting this week. It's the first time I've seen it on, unfortunately everything else wasn't it place!

This Subaru is coming out of retirement now so that will be taking up my time for now. It's been in storage for about 5 years now as the water pump was leaking and it wasn't getting used much at the time. Little bit of work to be done...

Water pump

Timing belt

Thermostat

Plugs, filters etc

Gearbox oil & filter as there known for overheating!

Suspect 4 tyres now too 😔

And a small bit of body work, lacquer peel on the O/S wing and a bit of damage to the O/S/R quarter!

Also getting the cats removed

It's one of the early ones with 231hp, no rocket ship but a nice cruiser! Genuine uk model too
