akaye4000
The power steering lines won't work as the high pressure side will just pop off

I know Jase your telling meI tried what you have done and kept coming off . Had to get a custom line done at pirtek which was pricey. Scoobysvx
Ahh that sucks! Yeh I might be interested does it run a similar route? How come you switched to a manual rack after doing it? Drop me some pics on pm mate
Ollieh17
Doesnt the standard high pressure line fit? When i was going to put one on mine i was going to ise standard high pressure and a custom low
Scoobysvx
Not with how I've fitted it mate, maybe if you rotated the pump but it'd still be too tight for my liking. It's very close to the aux belt already and I had to run it far enough down so that it doesn't rub when the wheel is on full lock
Scoobysvx
As always progress is slow! I really need to find time to finish this and start enjoying it! I still need to find a seal for the transfer box, I'll fire the size up tomorrow if anyone can help out? Once thats fitted both driveshafts can go in along side the new ball joints and track rod ends that have been fitted. I also purchased some Hel braided front lines so I'll get them on too.In the mean time i started sorting out the wiring and refitting the blower motor. I also managed to get some more sound deadening on the bulkhead! I tided up and secured the loom running all the wiring for the gauges, boost controller and turbo timer to the centre consol ready for them to be fitted. How I had it before but with a double din now!Next i refitted the dash along with clocksMy dad also added some more sound deadening to the wheel arches and made a plate to house some subs, 8in fitted there but I think we're going to do it again for some 10s 😝Things should start falling into place once I get the seal 😊
Scoobysvx
Welcome along another 4paw 😂 The difference being this one drives! Nothing special though and an auto unfortunately but I got it mega cheap and thought it'd be a good daily for the winter First thing was to ditch the steel & alloy wheel combo and stick my old dare wheels on, not looking much better I know but a vast improvement over the budget 165s on the front 😂 Prada spec 2 now. The car felt dangerous on the motorway for a few reasons... the steering rack was leaking quite badly and both track rod ends had seen better days giving a lot of free play in the steering wheel, the steel wheels made it 10x worse too! Got hold of a good condition steering rack and added new track rod ends as I had over ordered on my other 4paw. I've not changed a rack myself and felt it was made especially difficult being an auto 4paw! I ended up removing the o/s driveshaft and tilted the engine to get enough room to wiggle it out... How have other people changed there's? Followed up by doing the alignment the car felt completely different! Much tighter steering and more settled at high speed. Changed a couple of little bits as well which was bugging me, led numberplate bulbs which flickered whilst you drove! Blue side light bulbs, god knows why 😕 new 6k hid bulbs and a new rear plate. Tbh I'm not too sure what the plan is, using it as the new daily atm. Need to get the black one finished really then I'll prob keep this for spares 😝 The engine bay is a joke on this so I'll try to get you some pics for your entertainment tomorrow 😂It also got a quick polish which bought the white back to life!Jet washed the boot carpet and boot liner that I got with the carBack to the real 4paw....I found a couple more goodies to sit in the garden 😂Cusco carbon braces 😍 The front one is being shot blasted and powder coated silver atm to match the rear5D Carbon wrap on the tool box too 😉A few shots of the underside... I need to get the black on finished and on the road, it's killing me just sitting there in the garden 😢

Scoobysvx
Im lost for words... any update 😁Thanks mate! I've been doing bits here and there but nothing worthy of an update. Driveshafts are in finally and a few other things have been changed around. Now in the process of plumbing in the oil pressure gauge, cranking over to get good pressure then start her up and set fpr etc
